Hi I am 59 years of age, and have had protruding front

Q.
Hi I am 59 years of age, and have had protruding front teeth since the age of nine. I have always been afraid of dentists due to a very bad experience at the age of 4 years. My question is am I too old to have them straightened and can anything be done, should the above be correct? I have been tormented by my peers both in my adult and child hood. Although I have coped with the teasing since I was a child, with the knowledge that it is thier problem, it has always left me feeling insecure. I would dearly love to have them straightened if possible for myself. I await in anticipation for your answer. Yours sincerely.

How can misplaced teeth treated?

Friday, September 4th, 2009
Q.
Hi there, I have a tooth in the roof of my mouth just about half a centimetre behind my front teeth. I am 20 and have a slight gap where I assume this tooth should be. I also feel my front teeth are a bit big and it is making me feel insecure. What treatments would you recommend? Thankyou for your time.

Im 25 and i have overlapping teeth what can i do?

Thursday, September 3rd, 2009
Q.
Hello When I was 16 I wore a retainer to sort out my over bite and my front 2 top teeth which cross over (I was a thumb sucker as a child). My treatment was never finished. No, at 25yrs my main concern is my front two top teeth. One overlaps the other, the overlapping tooth get bashed quite a bit and the corner is slowly chipping/wearing away. Apparently I also push my tongue forward onto these two teeth every time I swallow (tongue thrusting) wish is slowly making it worse. I am looking to get my front teeth straightened but am not sure what sort of treatment this would involve and at what cost. Please could you advise on the best affordable solutions for me. I look forward to your reply Many Thanks,

Im 50 and I have crooked teeth can u suggest what to do?

Thursday, September 3rd, 2009
Q.
My upper four front teeth are quite big and as a result one incisor has been squeezed backwards and the other one infront and it is protruding in a very embarrassing way. The two lower teeth have been squeezed to the front, the incisors pushed virtually to the back and barely visible and the canines almost taking the incisors positions. I am an adult over 50 years and as you can imagine, wire braces would not be on my shopping list. Please advise me the best way forward and how long it would be to get my teeth straightened and how much it would cost. And do you have a payment plan?

Hi Dr Moore I would like your advice on what i need done to my teeth and where to start. Bascially when i was younger my front tooth was knocked out and over the years the gap has closed and the is no space for an implant. Im 22 years old and a student at the moment so cant afford £1000s. Would an NHS dentist do this type of work? or what would advive i do to start correcting this promlem, as it is really affecting me. thank you for taking the time to read this.

How can Underbite be treated advice?

Wednesday, September 2nd, 2009
Q.
Hi, im turning 30 this year, and all my life my slight underbite has bothered me, and this year ive decided to get something done with it before i reach 30. i have attended an orthodontist in the past and he told me i have a class 3 underbite, and surgery was the option. but as i have a child with special needs and needs a lot of attention, its a route i just cant go down. Would love to know, would getting all my teeth removed and replaced with false teeth be an option, or veneers placed over the top teeth to bring them slightly foward. or can i get a brace to push out my top teeth. Would be willing to lose all my teeth and replace them with false ones , just for a better appearance. please please, can you let me know if any of the options above are possible. I wont consider surgery. thank you for you time Can email you pics of my teeth if you wish.

Can a patient only go to a private or NHS dentist for treatment and not both?

Wednesday, September 2nd, 2009
Q.
My 11 year old son is having a metal fixed brace fitted shortly to correct his front teeth on the NHS, I have asked the orthodontist if I can pay the difference to have the white brace fitted but they state that he can only go privete or NHS and cannot mix the two – is this correct?
