I would like to have my mandible fixed as i have a chin like Jimmy Hill. My lower set teeth protrude over my upper set. I’ve been to orthodontics before but i’ve always been told to come back when my jaw stops growing and because i’ve go too many teeth in my mouth. Would cosmetic dentistry fix my problem

How much does six month smiles cost

Wednesday, September 10th, 2008
Q.
I was wondering roughly how much the treatment of the 6 month smile would cost? and i was wondering if any of the costs would be paid by the NHS? because i am a student, and would like to straiten my front teeth, but wouldn’t like the treatment to take years and years, as braces do.

is the damon brace treatment effective

Monday, September 8th, 2008
Q.
My son is 11 yrs old and has crowded teeth, unaligned jaw – a complex case and has been recommended Damon Braces treatment. I want to find out in the long term, when wisdom teeth start to come out, after Damon treatment, is there any space left for them in the mouth? Also how effectve is the Damon treatment – do teeth start to go back after 10-12 yrs or not?

teeth are badly aligned from thumb sucking

Thursday, August 14th, 2008
Q.
Hi Dr Caplan, I’m just looking for a starting point really. I’ve not seen a dentist for many years sadly over 15! I know my fault. The problem is my front teeth are very poorly aligned, I used to suck my thumb and having the family sausage sized digits have ended up with no smile. The teeth are there but pushed forward a lot. My question is this how I would go about correcting the problem. From chats with people down the pub, I’m told braces would be the answer and as I pushed the teeth forward it should be relatively easy to push them back again! The teeth are in reasonable condition my gums have probably receding, I sued to smoke. So if you advise us what I should do next that would be great. Many thanks for your time. Kind regards

How much does invisible braces for upper inscisors cost?

Monday, February 25th, 2008
Q.
My upper inscissors are not straight, they make it difficult for me to keep my mouth closed. Do you think the invisible braces would help? Or what do u advise me to do and what is the rough estimate I might spend for treatment. Thanks
