Recently there seems to be a gap forming between my top middle front two teeth. It’s really small at the moment but it really annoys me. I’m 21 years old and I have had braces for 2.5 years since the age of 13.
How much does it cost to fix the gap? And also what’s the best home method to whiten teeth. I heard salt water is an option, is there anything else that I could do? Thank you for answering my questions.

I am missing my UR2 tooth (since birth) and have a bridge connected to the UR3. It was also connected to the UR1 but that wing was removed by a dentist in May. Since then my UR1 has moved forwards and to the left and my UL1 has moved inwards and to the left as a result.
I would like to know about an implant/bridge for the UR2 and some way to straighten my teeth especially the front two now they have moved. But I don’t want visible braces, but Invisalign or similar is okay though.

I am 50 years old with a baby tooth that never fell out next to my top big tooth it is now discoloured, loose and I got an estimate for Invisalign which is crazy I have no orthodontic insurance. What would be your suggestion for fixing this? Invisalign, 6 month smile? I cut all my food, I don’t smile and now I’m at the point that I need to get something done. The dentist said he doesn’t know how the tooth hasn’t fallen out yet. You’d really be helping me.
Hello Dr Gambroudes. I used to have what I would call vampire teeth. After getting braces, my “vampire” smile turned into buck teeth. I had two upper teeth removed to make more room and continued to wear braces for two years but the buck teeth never disappeared. And they are really bad buck teeth and it’s started to affect my speech. Is there another option to fix buck teeth without having to go back to braces? The orthodontist I went to when I had my braces said I would have to get more upper teeth removed if I wanted to continue with braces and I really don’t want that.

I recently closed my 3.5mm front teeth gap with Orthofill band. But now I have gap in each side and am still wearing the band to close the two sides but I know it will create another gap again, so I was wondering what would be the best treatment for me to keep the front teeth closed as well as closing the side gaps. I’ve also heard that bonding can be good but I wasn’t sure if it’s the right treatment for me. Two years ago I paid for Inman braces which I ended up not wearing because I wasn’t aware it was 3D until I received the braces. The dentist didn’t show me the sample at the time so that was a complete waist of money.
The Orthofill band was my last option before I considered doing Invisalign but gladly the band did work but now am stuck as to what the next step should be to finish of the process.

Whilst searching the web for the best prices regarding retainers, I recently read in one of your posts that you quoted £350 for 3 sets of Vivera retainers. I’ve had Invisalign and now use Vivera retainers. What is problematic is that the dentist who is currently providing me treatment with is charging me £495 for a set of three. I am finding money extremely tight at the moment and was hoping of being able to get a cheaper option. Do you happen to know if there is any way I can order them through you instead? Would I need to change providers and do you know how I would go about that?
Hi Dr Moore. I was just wondering how much the Inman Aligner would cost to correct my two front teeth? My two front teeth are starting to move inward and creating a large gap between my teeth. I wanted to know if the invisalign or inman aligner would be more appropriate? The gap just started approximately 3 years ago and wasn’t sure what the cause was. I am obviously looking for the most cost effective option, but not worried about the length of time. I hope you can advise me something as I’m beginning to get really down with this issue now, as I said I don’t even know what caused it in the first place and I am not sure where to even begin. I’m am a 17 year old boy who lives in England. I’m a full time student. i was offered braces a fee years ago but i had never wanted braces but looking back I wish I did, my top teeth are very gappy but my bottoms ones are fine (maybe a bit crowded) but I am happy with them. My top teeth are not bent, twisted and they are all in good condition but just gapped all the way along. What i would like to know is what alternatives do I have without the look of braces. I’ve heard about Invisalign but I think it will be to expensive for me, my price range will be in the region of under £3,000. Also is there any chance of getting any treatment with the NHS? If braces were still free on the NHS I may consider them.
Hi, I wondered if you could advise me with something? My front four teeth need new cosmetic work done, I have three posts and crowns and one crown, all in the front. The problem is for years they have been put in singular and the posts always come loose. My dentist is suggesting redoing and this time connected either all 4, or 2 each depending on root. What is the benefits and is this the best answer? I should say I also have a cross bite. Another dentist suggested invisalign, but I am 45 and really my teeth arent crooked except there for the cross bite teeth, 2 of them. one on the bottom and top. Also will I be ok without being able to floss connected teeth? Thanks for your help.
Would you close a gap due to extraction with an implant or braces. My front teeth slightly overlap, and as I have lost a tooth 6th from the front, I thought braces could pull the teeth back and close the gap, with bringing the 8th tooth forward slightly. I thought this could kill two birds with one stone, as I would lose the overlapping at the front, and also fill the gap. I spoke to my dentist and he won’t advise me on the best way, and I need a professional to tell me the best way forward please. The tooth was extracted quite a few years ago, so I would need a bone graft if I were to have an implant, My dentist has said that if I were to have braces, my centre line would be off, and he would either need to extract a tooth on the other side, or shave the front teeth. He also said he couldn’t be sure but he thinks I will get a black triangle between my front teeth once the overlapping is corrected. I really don’t know which is the best option. If I go with the implant, I will still have the crossed over teeth but the gap will be filled. If I go with the braces, both problems could be sorted, but there is much more interference with healthy teeth, ie getting teeth shaved and maybe another tooth extraction.
What would you think would be the best way forward?
