There Seems To Be A Gap Forming Between My Teeth, After I’ve Had Braces Treatment. What Should I Do?

Q.
Recently there seems to be a gap forming between my top middle front two teeth. It’s really small at the moment but it really annoys me. I’m 21 years old and I have had braces for 2.5 years since the age of 13.

How much does it cost to fix the gap? And also what’s the best home method to whiten teeth. I heard salt water is an option, is there anything else that I could do? Thank you for answering my questions.

A.
Hello and thank you for getting in touch. If you have had previous orthodontic treatment and have recently noticed them starting move it is possible that they may be starting to relapse. This would be most likely if you are no longer wearing anything to retain your teeth in position. If this is the case it is important to seek the advise of a dentist who will then be able to discuss your options.

If you are not happy with the gap that has formed between your upper front teeth and it is fairly minimal, it should be possible to realign or restore them to their original position relatively simply with a treatment such as Short Term Orthodontics (Six Month Smiles or Cfast) or Clear Aligners (Invisalign).
Whatever route you choose to take it is important that have your teeth checked to avoid any further movement. I hope you find this information helpful. Kind regards, Marcus Gambroudes.
