Would Lingual Brace Treatment Straighten My Rotated Canine?

Wednesday, April 2nd, 2014
Q.

Hi Mark. I have just had a consultation for Invisalign but after finding out that it is not predictable for rotated canines I am now thinking about my other options.
Would lingual braces work for this? It is just my top right canine and so it would be nice to just have a brace on the top row, but not sure this is possible.
As yet I am yet to find anything that will sort out just this canine in a localised and more or less invisible way. Any information on this would be great. Thanks.

I’ve Been Told That My Teeth May Need To Be Contoured After Invisalign Treatment. Is This Correct?

Tuesday, March 25th, 2014
Q.

Hello,

I am a 50 year old female in good health and with good teeth.

I am considering having the Invisalign treatment to straighten my front teeth, which are not straight and overlap slightly.

A relative who has recently had this treatment has advised me that after my teeth are straightened they will be different lengths and may need contouring?

What does this mean and is this correct?

Thank you!

I Am Not A Suitable Candidate For Invisalign And Will Need Train Tracks For About 18 Months. Is This Something You Can Assist With?

Tuesday, March 11th, 2014
Q.

I have a severe over bite (where the first set of teeth overlap the bottom set completely) because of this both sets of teeth go inwards. My teeth are generally straight however the problem is that both sets need pushing out and my over bite needs to be addressed. I have previously been advised (about 2 years ago) that I am not suitable for Invisalign and that I will indeed need train tracks for about 18 months – 2 years. Is this something you can assist with? I am happy to have train tracks if needed, however I do not want them to be overly visible if that’s okay? Ideally I would like to get booked in ASAP to start treatment. I look forward to your response.
Kind Regards.

Could You Tell Me If It Would Be Possible To Use Lumineers To Correct My Two Front Teeth?

Friday, February 21st, 2014
Q.

Hello Andrew. Could you tell me if it would it be possible to use Lumineers to correct my two front teeth?

They are set back further than the rest and also sit a little lower. Ideally I would like my two front teeth to be sitting a little higher up the gum and set forward with the other teeth.

At the side of the two front teeth, I have little ‘fangs’ which are slightly turning into the direction of the two front teeth. I would also like to have these fixed.

Braces aren’t an option for me due to the nature of my work, I am also not a candidate for Invisalign. I hope to hear from you soon. Thank you.

I Want To Know Which Treatments Will Close My Bucked Teeth Before My Wedding?

Thursday, February 13th, 2014
Q.

Hi Andrew,

I’m 26 years old and I have an overbite and my two front teeth are bucked with a gap in the middle. My bottom teeth are perfect!

I’m really self conscious about my teeth to the point of when I’m talking I put my hand over my mouth.

I’m getting to the point now where I really want to be pro-active and do something about it!

I’m due to get married next year and would love for my two front teeth to be perfect for the photos, Can you please recommend any treatments you think I may be suitable for?

Thank you so much for your help.

I Have Crowding And Would Like To Know About The Less Visible Types Of Brace Options Available?

Wednesday, January 15th, 2014
Q.

Hello Dr Hughes, I have a question I’d like to ask. I have crowding of both my upper teeth and lower and I was wondering how much it would cost for clear step braces? An average price is all I need. I just got a job with a large corporation and feel that a nice smile would help me feel better about presentations and what not. If there are any other options that are less visible that the standard metal or ceramic braces I would appreciate if you told me the options. Thanks, I look forward to your reply.

Can I Still Have Invisalign Treatment With A Few Missing Teeth?

Monday, January 13th, 2014
Q.

Hello,
I am a 28 year old male who is looking to straighten his teeth without unsightly braces. I am looking to have Invisalign work done. However, I do have two teeth missing on the upper jaw, is it possible to still have Invisalign?

Also, as it is quite expensive, what payment plans are offered for this kind of treatment?
This is a problem that I have had for some time. I hope you can answer my question as I’d love to have a straighter smile. Kind regards.

I Am Confused Whether To Have Invisalign Or Six Month Smiles Treatment To Sort Out My Overcrowded Teeth?

Monday, January 6th, 2014
Q.

I would like to push back my upper front teeth and to straighten them too so there’s no overcrowding. I would also like to straighten my lower teeth which are crowded and one tooth protrudes outwards significantly. I have seen an orthodontist and cosmetic dentist but I’m totally confused whether to go with an orthodontist or a cosmetic dentist. One recommended Invisalign the other Six month smiles. One also said they couldn’t push my lower tooth back in line totally due to lack of space. Is there anything that can be done to create more space for a perfect outcome? Thank you.

When I Stopped Wearing My Retainer And Now My Teeth Are Starting To Relapse. Is There Any Other Way Of Straightening Teeth?

Friday, December 20th, 2013
Q.

I have had a standard metal brace for a year then I got rid of it. They then gave me a clear retainer mould of my teeth to wear every night. I wore the retainer for the first couple of months then I started to wear it less frequently until I came to the point when I did not wear it at all. During this time period, my teeth started to move again, the gaps began to return and now my teeth are straight, however I still have small gaps. I went back to my orthodontist and they have said wear the retainer everyday and I am going to do that but I am worried my teeth will return with gaps. My next appointment is in a month so I am going to trial this idea. I would like to know is there any other treatment that can straighten your teeth?

My Tooth Has Returned To It’s Original Sate After Orthodontic Treatment. What Are My Options?

Thursday, December 19th, 2013
Q.

Hi there,

I had braces many years ago but since then one particular tooth has returned to its original state.

I’m 23 now and am wondering what my options are, I guess I’m similar to other people in that the priority is invisible solutions.

My other question is whether the treatments are lessened, quicker, or different if there is one particular problem area as oppose to a mouthful of issues. For example getting lingual braces upon just the small surrounding area of the tooth in question. Any information would be greatly appreciated,

Kind regards.
