i have a small white section of my gum so what is the best way to treat this?

Saturday, May 2nd, 2009
Q.
I recently notice that in the gums of my front four bottom teeth, in the inside part of my mouth i have a small white section of my gums. I have heard that warm water and salt helps this but I’m not sure. So what is the best way to treat this? Is this something that has to be treated directly treated by a dentist?

Is there a remedy for renewing gum between your teeth?

Wednesday, April 29th, 2009
Q.
I am in the process if having a tooth straightened. There is a gap on side of the tooth near the gum which looks like gum erosion rather than anything that straightening the tooth will fix. Is there a remedy for renewing gum between your teeth? Thanks

Dear Dr. Moore, I have dental bridge on my lower left side. I had the work done 3 years ago. Lately that hsa become very sensitive only when I eat. Could it be my gums causing the sensitivity? There is one part that bleeds easy when I floss? Or a tooth? Thanks..

my dental implant failed thrice is it possible for your gums to be allergic to the placed temp

Monday, April 27th, 2009
Q.
Hi, Genetically, I’m missing two adult teeth and my dentist recommended dental implants. He never took a CT scan or a panoramic X-Ray, only a few regular X-Rays, and he never mentioned anything about a bone graft to me. One implant worked great. On the other one, he attempted three times to complete the implant procedure, yet it failed all three times. At no point between any of these procedures did he mention anything about a lack of bone. He said it didn’t work the first two times because my gums were allergic to the temp he placed on my implant. So, the third time he didn’t place a temp directly on it, but let it heal for six months. Again, however, the implant failed, and it actually began protruding out of my gums. I went to another dentist, an implant specialist, and he told me that I had a ton of bone deterioration, and that I need a huge bone graft before he can try to do another implant. My question is- Should my first dentist have taken a CT scan or something to establish if I needed a bone graft from the start? Is it normal to mess up three times? Is it possible for your gums to be allergic to the placed temp?
