i have problems with my gums will this stop me being able to have veneers?

Q. I have problems with my gums will this stop me being able to have veneers?

A. Whichever dentist you go to…he/she will tell you that your gums need to be stabilised before having veneers and crowns. Ideally, you need to see  a dentist for a consultation and most likely have a thorough hygiene visit. If crowns/veneers are fitted to a mouth with unstable gums, the chance of poorly fitting restorations is highly likely. Plus, you must be extra vigilant with your cleaning with veneers anyway.
