Will the fact I’ve had gum disease and some recession prevent me from straightening my teeth?

Hello, I’m 27 years old and have very healthy and white teeth with no fillings. I had braces when I was younger (15) but as I stopped wearing my retainer my teeth have since moved a bit and are not as straight as I would like. I was thinking about going for the invisalign treatment to re-straighten the teeth which have moved. However there is a problem – when I went to the dentist recently he said over the last 3 years I have suffered from some gum disease which has led to a small amount of bone loss on my two very back teeth (diagnosed from routine x-rays in a check up). I have also noticed a small amount of recession on two of my front teeth. Anyway, I’ve rectified the problems with my gums now (through hygienist visits and an electric toothbrush) and they are healthy and pink now. Will the fact I’ve had gum disease and some recession prevent me from straightening my teeth?,

What sort of dentist should I look for when trying to fix my receding gums?

I have severely receding gums around my upper molars (due to vigorous brushing in the past) which cause me pain at times, from xray I have also lost some bone around these areas. What are the best procedures for this problem and what sort of dentist should I look for? Does the nhs not cover this?,

I have periodontal disease, can you give me some advice?

Hi. I was told from a dentist i went to that i have that periodontal disease. I can’t go to a dentist cause i don’t have the money nor the insurance to go. I’m scared cause now i think my teeth are gonna start to fall out and I’m only 27 yrs old. Some are already loose. I don’t know what i can do to slow it down or whatever. Could veneers create the effect of my teeth bing level with the rest?
