Will impants affect gumline?

Friday, January 22nd, 2010
Q.
I am in the process of starting 3 implants due to eroding roots to decay under my current (loose) crowns. I have had root canals on all 3 teeth, and surrounding teeth on both sides so a bridge is out of the question. I know with crowns and silver postings it has a tendancy to “dye” the gum. With implants and the “silver” implant, will this have any effect on my gumline. The teeth being done are 7,10,11 in front and I am concerned with this and have found no reports for or against this thought. Please advise. Thank you.,

What treatment can I get to fill tooth gap?

Thursday, January 21st, 2010
Q.
I broke my tooth in early preganancy and was told I would probably need a root canal when the baby was born. The baby is now born and on returning to the dentist, he got rid of most of the decay and put a temporary filling in. I cannot put any pressure on the tooth and it is very sensitive – on returning today another dentist said extraction is the only option as it is too decayed. I am 34 and already have lost one tooth years ago so am worried to lose another – are there any other options? Or if it is taken out what can I do to fill the gap?,

Is there a way to secure my loose dentures?

Thursday, January 21st, 2010
Q.
sadly due to poor diet and stress I had my dentures extracted at the age of 24! i have had a replacement set of dentures fitted by a dentist who suggested that the initial extraction looked as if it had been by a butcher1 However I have been more than pleased by the complete set fitted by them & most people are unaware that I wear dentures. The query is the bottm set are now slightly loose ,is there a method of fixing them more securely? Roughly how much would it cost?,

Can I have any treatment for tooth gap?

Thursday, January 21st, 2010
Q.
I have a filling which is root canal filled, but the entire tooth has now gone from above the gum, leaving me with a gap. My dentist has said he cannot crown it and there is nothing more he can do and has just simply sealed over it with white filling material. It is quite far back so not too noticable but would like to have it sorted. Is there anything I can do?,
