Hi there. I’m a 22 year old male. I have 3 almost fully grown wisdom teeth. (One which is currently on the bottom scratching against my cheek- like the others had done) I am however annoyed that the structure of my face has changed because of them. My cheekbones used to be incredibly more defined and so was my jaw. I am unsure if it was the onset of the wisdom teeth that have detrimentally manipulated the structure of my face of if it was just my face maturing into a more masculine shape- (but wisdom teeth are a sign of maturing) Anyways I was wondering what I could do if I wanted to remove them? If that was a possibility- And how much it would cost to do so? (I have read about models taking out wisdom teeth to create more defined cheekbones) And also if i did remove them-would my cheekbones and jaw line go back to the way they were? thank you

If I Have My Wisdom Teeth Removed Will My Cheekbones Look More Defined?
Wednesday, July 10th, 2013Will My Wisdom Teeth Close The Widening Gap Between My Front Teeth?
Wednesday, May 29th, 2013 I have a gap between my top front two teeth, over the past years I have noticed that it has increased. I am worried that it may carry on increasing and widen the gap. I do not like it at all and it’s worrying me as I’m noticing myself becoming less confident in social situations which is a big no-no as I love seeing friends. My wisdom teeth has started coming out at the bottom but not the top. Am not sure if my wisdom teeth will decrease the gap or make it worse. However if I wanted to get it treated how much would it cost and which treatment would be best for me.
Thank you.
Can my growing wisdom teeth cause my already protruding incisor to look even worse?
Wednesday, December 12th, 2012Hi Dr Moore. My problem is that my lateral incisor sticks out as there isn’t enough space between my canine and front incisor so it sits on top of both with a small gap behind about 1/2 cm. I could be wrong but the canine appears to be larger then the other side and is square in shape and is wider at the bottom. My top wisdom teeth have been coming up really slowly for about 2 years no and I am worried that they may push my teeth further making it worse. Can this happen? I am already very paranoid about it…also I am a bit apprehensive about braces so would appreciate any ideas on other solutions. Any advice would be great, thank you.
Would an Inman Aligner help re-align my teeth after my wisdom teeth have caused damage to them?
Wednesday, October 17th, 2012Hi Andrew, so here’s my problem: I used to have perfect teeth until about a year ago when all my 4 wisdom teeth came out. When they came our, they pushed one of my front teeth out(next to the canine tooth) and the other one is my front teeth. Now I am left with 2 front teeth sticking out and I fear that the wisdom teeth have not fully erupted and so more damage will be done. The protruding teeth are really getting me down as I used to have nice teeth! Please advise me as to what I should do. I was thinking about getting an Inman Aligner, but I am not sure and it might just be too costly only for two teeth. Can you help at all? What would be the best option for me? Regards,
My teeth were straight until my wisdom teeth started to come through, how can I resolve this problem?
Monday, August 13th, 2012Hi there.
My teeth used to be perfectly straight until my wisdom teeth started growing in.
They are unable to grow properly because there isn’t enough room. Now I have a distinct overlap in my front two teeth. I have been advised that if I have my wisdom teeth removed then this may help resolve the problem – is this correct?
I am getting married in May 2013 and I was wondering how long it would take to straighten them and how much it would cost.
Thank you.
Is it possible to have the Invisalign treatment when my wisdom teeth are starting to come through?
Friday, August 10th, 2012 Hello,
I have recently looked into the invisalign option to straighten six of my top front teeth, and was wondering if you could help me please. A recent dental x-ray revealed I have four wisdom teeth ready to grow out, all seemingly straight. (my dentist told me the top two and bottom right are fine; the bottom left is slightly tilted.) Is it possible to have invisalign whilst wisdom teeth are coming through, and is it possible to have the invisalign made to fit only over the teeth I require straightening, instead of the full set of top teeth?
Thank you.
I think my wisdom teeth are moving my teeth, can I have Invisalign to correct this?
Thursday, March 15th, 2012At the moment my wisdom teeth are coming through, as they are their pushing all my teeth forward and causing overcrowding and crookedness at the front. On a daily basis my teeth are moving. I did have braces when I was 13 but almost all the work they did is being accelerated to return my teeth to there original state. The other problem is that I can feel a small amount of swelling and have got some pain. How quickly can I be treated, everyday I don’t my teeth move more and I am simply becoming embarrassed to smile anymore. I’m basically 20 I annoyingly I think after alreadying having braces in my teens for 4 1/2 year I would like to look at invisalin. But what can I do about the movement. The retainers I was giving don’t fit and the orthodontist and my dentist are not where I live? What can I do ?
Is it less painful to have a wisdom tooth extracted or root canal treatment?
Tuesday, May 31st, 2011Hi doctor,
My wisdom tooth has got infected. It’s on my upper left jaw. I visited a dentist today and she advised me tooth extraction to be performed in a week’s time. She also prescribed me Ammoxicillin (500mg) to be taken 3 times a day for one week. I am not sure if I should go for a root canal treatment or a tooth extraction. My exams are approaching so I want to go for a treatment which takes less time and gets me back on work asap. I would also like to know which one is a less painful procedure. I am 29, female. Please help.
Thanks,
I need my decayed front and wisdom teeth replaced with implants, what is the cost?
Monday, May 23rd, 2011Hi Rob,
Last year i had an accident and lost one of my front teeth completely and had the other snapped in half.
I have begun treatment and have since had root canal treatment in the snapped tooth, which has since grayed.
I have been wearing a denture for the last 12 months, but have always had the intention of implants.
I also have very decayed wisdom teeth and am in no doubt that they need pulling.
Firstly I would like to know if my wisdom teeth would hinder any treatments in the front of my mouth?
Secondly would a crown would be suitable for my snapped tooth with it being grey and having undergone root canal? (this would be to go along side an implant for the missing tooth)
And also, I am currently a NHS patient. Other than the obvious cost of the implant, can any of the cosmetic treatment i may be offered be covered by the NHS?
Thank you
Help teeth driving me crazy and I get frequent tooth infections. What can be done?
Thursday, May 12th, 2011Hi,
I have on-going problems with my teeth, resulting in fairly frequent tooth infections. I’m 27 and so far had 3 wisdom teeth extracted and 2 or 3 others due to poor prognosis.
My teeth are a horrid yellow colour, I have one false tooth which I don’t like, various ones that are chipped, breaking down and one with a hole in i. I would like to know my options on getting them sorted. I have been told by my dentist that I have weak enammel due to my asthma and for this reason wouldn’t be able to get them whitened, are veeners my only option and would I be able to get any help from the NHS?
Thanks for you time Dr Mark Hughes. I hope you find the time in your busy schedule to help me with this. Warmest regards.. 🙂
