Q.
I have asthma and I am also diabetic I have several broken teeth which I am concerned about as I work in a public facing job. Several of the teeth would need to be removed. As I gagg when I am at the dentist I have not been for sometime. Would a dentist be prepared to treat me under sedation on the NHS. Some people are saying due to the asthma I may have to be referred to the hospital? Please advise me on this matter as I do not know what to do.

I have always been afriad of dentists, but now feel cosmetic dentistry is my only option. I wanted to know how much it costs, if i can be put under anesthetic, and just really what my options are as i never feel like smiling.

I have lost a few teeth in the past and suffer from gum disease. I attend an anesthetic clinic for treatment as I have a fear for dentists and they can sedate me. Im going to be having a plate fitted as Im losing my front teeth. Im only 39 but look 50 thanks to my teeth. Implants sound ideal but so expensive. Do you offer a pay in instalment system and do you offer sedation

I am undergoing a wisdom tooth extraction on monday

Monday, February 16th, 2009
Q.
I am undergoing a wisdom tooth extraction on monday and have opted for IV sedation. I am worried but do not know why. I know I won’t feel pain because of the local anesthetic and may not remember the procedure because of the amnesic affect of the sedative. What can I expect from IV sedation?

are there any other injections that are more likely to numb the nerves in my teeth

Thursday, January 29th, 2009
Q.
Dear Dr Kailesh The injections given in your mouth to make it numb before drilling etc. do not work on me. They numb my lip, tongue, gum etc. but NOT the nerves in my teeth. I have been treated by dentists using sedation which at least helps me get through it, but I do still remember some pain. Are there any gum injections that are more likely to numb the nerves in my teeth so I don’t need sedation as my dentist has told me he is going to stop doing it and I’m desperate! Thanks.
