are there any other injections that are more likely to numb the nerves in my teeth

Q. Dear Dr Kailesh The injections given in your mouth to make it numb before drilling etc. do not work on me. They numb my lip, tongue, gum etc. but NOT the nerves in my teeth. I have been treated by dentists using sedation which at least helps me get through it, but I do still remember some pain. Are there any gum injections that are more likely to numb the nerves in my teeth so I don’t need sedation as my dentist has told me he is going to stop doing it and I’m desperate! Thanks.

A. Hi many thanks for your enquiry, there is a stronger anaesthetic called articaine which can help improve the effects of anaesthetic. my advice is see if this helps.
