My two front teeth protruded slightly can braces work in 6 months

Thursday, July 30th, 2009
Q.
Hi Dr Solanki, I am 34. My two front teeth protude slightly and seem to go to one side, i think this may be related to my tongue pushing against them when i sleep and when my mouth is relaxed. They seem to be getting worse as time goes on. I was thinking about the six month smile as i’m not keen on having braces for 12months or more. Can braces really work in 6months, it seems a short time for something that normally takes well over 12months?

I am almost done with my braces but im going to college. so they gave me the option of taking my braces off and my teeth are straight but my jaw is still a little unaligned. so i was wondering if my jaw being unaligned would ruin my teeth being straight.

My 4 top front teeth overlap could you advice on braces

Thursday, July 30th, 2009
Q.
Hi, I spoke to my dentist today about my 4 top front teeth which overlap. I asked about Inman Aligner and 6 month smiles. He said he had concerns about both as teeth should not be straightened over such a short time and could result in loose teeth. He recommended Invisalign (which I cannot afford) or 4 veneers. He said with veneers I would quickly have straight front teeth. My concern is as these 4 teeth overlap that the resulting veneers will be straight but VERY narrow looking as they will have to fit a very overcrowded space. My dentist assures me they will look great but I’m unsure how they can fit a space probably only wide enough for 3 normal looking teeth. Do you think this is possible? I would also welcome your advice on the braces as I have to see my dentist next week to discuss this again. Thanks

How much does it cost to fix the braces for the gaps in my teeth

Thursday, July 30th, 2009
Q.
Hi im 16 years of age and im very unhappy with my teeth as it brings my confidence down alot. ive wanted braces for a long time and as my conditions wont fit under the nhs i havent been able to do anything about this. my condition is that i need braces to order to fix the gaps and as ive stil got baby teeth aswell so it would come under cosmetic conditions. i wanted to know roughly how much this would cost because something needs to be done as it really gets me down.

My front teeth is rested on my other teeth how could i fix it?

Thursday, July 30th, 2009
Q.
Hi i was wondering who could help me and how .one of my front teeth is sideways in my mouth it is only slightly straight because it is rested on one of my other teeth i had braces on it few years ago and it did work but after i had finished my treatment it started to back to how it used to be and my teeth started to all either go a bit forward or back and it really gets me down. is there anyway this could be put into a normal smile as the braces worked for a bit and then went back to normal i considered getting my teeth straightened medically but i am only 17 i work but its still really expensive.

I had my front teeth removed and replaced with flipper and It is driving me mad what can i do?

Tuesday, July 28th, 2009
Q.
Hi, I had my front left 2 removed on thursday they fitted me with what i think is called a flipper. It is driving me mad, eating and drinking is difficult and it’s making me feel constantly sick,it’s also giving me a burning sensation in the roof of my mouth, this is only for three months i have to decide what i am going to have next. I can’t really afford £2,000 for a implant and I don’t want my healthy teeth touched as I have had so many problems as I have been over treated in the past. Which option would you suggest I go for. I feel so miserable as my appearance means a great deal to me and at the moment my confidence has been knocked terribly. Who ever said life begins at forty, if i met them i would probably shoot them. Thanks for reading this
