I had my front teeth removed and replaced with flipper and It is driving me mad what can i do?

Q. Hi, I had my front left 2 removed on thursday they fitted me with what i think is called a flipper. It is driving me mad, eating and drinking is difficult and it’s making me feel constantly sick,it’s also giving me a burning sensation in the roof of my mouth, this is only for three months i have to decide what i am going to have next. I can’t really afford £2,000 for a implant and I don’t want my healthy teeth touched as I have had so many problems as I have been over treated in the past. Which option would you suggest I go for. I feel so miserable as my appearance means a great deal to me and at the moment my confidence has been knocked terribly. Who ever said life begins at forty, if i met them i would probably shoot them. Thanks for reading this

A. A dental flipper is another term for a partial acrylic denture.
They DO take some getting used to- and is a good option for you in the interim period of having treatment.  I would definatley recommend a dental implant. this is by far the best long term option for replacing a gap. It is a tooth in it;s own right and like you said, it doesn’t compromise the health of any other teeth in your mouth. I understand that this treatment can be quite costly- but some practices offer various payment options to help you spread the cost over affordable monthly payments.
You need to be aware though, that the longer the gap is left, the bone shrinks back- which can make it difficult to place the implant if there is not enough bone. Hope this makes sense.
I would be more than happy to offer you a free consultation at my kissdental practice to discuss your options with you. PS keep perservering with your flipper.
