Im having bone augmentation and im experiencing extreme pain what could be causing this?

Tuesday, July 21st, 2009
Q.
Hi After having bone augumentation two weeks ago I am experiencing pain, (like throbbing pressure), headaches, inner ear problems (buzzy, blocked ear,but no pain) above the area where the proceedure took place. My dentist said that I should not be experiencing pain now and that it should be settling down. He has not offered to Xray the area again but did offer me a course of antibiotics. He was concerned that I should be feeling discomfort after all this time but did not offer any answers to my discomfort. What could be causing this? Many Thanks

Ive a root twisted front tooth and i want to know what are the different size of implant ?

Monday, July 20th, 2009
Q.
Fifty years after damaging my front tooth the root twisted on New Year’s Eve and I now have a plate which I hate!! It stops whistling, affects speech and halves my eating pleasure. My (NHS) dentist says an implant would be C£1500. I am off to The Gambia in Sept. but research shows only certain ‘bore’ size/screws are used in the UK – can you tell me which so I can consider having the job done whilst there and any other implications to beware of? THANKYOU

I am interested in MAXI implants is it safe and how long do they last?

Sunday, July 19th, 2009
Q.
I am interested in having a MAXI implant, as according to my dentist it is a non-surgical, minimally invasive technique, avoiding cutting the gum, with far less trauma, and often painless healing. Placement can be carried out in minutes and the implant is immediately usable. The technique does not require a flap of gum tissue to be raised, and the implant is placed by means of a small perforation through the gingival tissue. Are MAXI implants safe and how long do they last?

Ive retained 6 milk teeth and implants is only option is there any insurance with covers implants

Sunday, July 19th, 2009
Q.
Dear Dr Moore, I am 29 and have retained over 6 milk teeth. X-rays revealed that I have no second teeth to replace them. Currently one is loose as my wisdom teeth has pushed it out of line and this is causing my bottom row of teeth to compact against each other. My dentist says implants are the only option, but I cannot afford them. He says I should get insurance, but every company I look at says that their insurance doesn’t cover implants. Could you suggest an insurance comapany that does? I can only eat on one side of my mouth and want to try and sort this out. Would insurers view this as a pre-existing condition and therefore not cover it? Please help

My mother has dentures now is it okay to have 4 implants on the lower jaw and have bridges

Sunday, July 19th, 2009
Q.
My mother is 70 y.o. and has had dentures for over 20 years. However because of the poor quality (Soviet) of dentures and not being able to eat in them she’s eaten down most of the lower side bone. Dentists in a dental clinic in Dubai advised for the lower jaw to set 4 implants and put a bridge and denture on top of it. I would like to get a second opinion from you. Many thanks,
