Hi Dr. Andrew, first of all let me tell you that I love your name. That was my sons name also, “Andrew”. Well anyways my question is that, I’m 42 years old and never have been to a ready todentist. Now the results of this are popping up. My teeth are so terrible looking, they are also ready to fall of, at least the front bottom ones. As you are probably thinking, it sounds ugly and yucky! thats how I feel. Would I be able to do implants and how much do you think this would cost me? Please help me, soon. Where are you located? I’m in Hollister, California. Please answer me back soon. Thank you for your time…

What is the cost of changing from denture to implant and is there a payment plan

Wednesday, April 1st, 2009
Q.
Hi I wonder if you could advise me. I have several teeth missing from my upper mouth I would say maybe 6 or 7 and also a few from my lower jaw. I have a denture but I hate it so much I get really embarrassed when I talk to people and I’m always trying to hide my mouth. I would really love to get dental implants but have heard that this is very expensive. Could you tell me how much you think this would actually cost for the whole procedure and also if there is like a payment plan or any help that is available to someone on a low income.

Are adhesive bridges suitable for long term use

Wednesday, April 1st, 2009
Q.
Hi, I have a post crown tooth at the front of my mouth at the top and developed a tiny gumboil back in October and have been advised that the root must be cracked and that the prognosis for repair is not good and the only option is to have the tooth removed. Although my dentist can perform dental implant surgery himself, he has recommended an adhesive bridge, and despite my concerns about the chances of it coming loose and falling off in the future he will not have a word said against them. Whilst I would prefer the implant, cost is an issue for me at present and so i am inclined to go for the adhesive bridge, but are these generally only a temporary measure and it could it damage the tooth it is bonded to if it were to come off in the future? I am concerned I wont be able to bite into things such as apples or raw carrots etc without the bridge coming unstuck. Also I am having the bridge fitted straight after the tooth extraction as I said I did not want to be without a front tooth but someone has told me that this is not a good idea. Thanks

I’m thinking of having implants for my top front 4 teeth and 2 teeth at the back on both sides of my uppers

Wednesday, April 1st, 2009
Q.
Hi I’m thinking of having implants for my top front 4 teeth and 2 teeth at the back on both sides of my uppers.I have dentures now, i want to ask do you have the top denture cut down or do you still have the upper denture covering the roof the mouth. I dislike my denture on the roof of my mounth because. 1.carn’t taste my food 2.new dentures ok but after 12 months there is a slight wobble. 3.find i carn’t pronounce words correctly -very annoying. 4.lack of confidence because i know they have sight movement. 5. When i sing or laugh out loud they move..Will implants all stop this. I will await your reply. Many Thanks
