Ive retained 6 milk teeth and implants is only option is there any insurance with covers implants

Q. Dear Dr Moore, I am 29 and have retained over 6 milk teeth. X-rays revealed that I have no second teeth to replace them. Currently one is loose as my wisdom teeth has pushed it out of line and this is causing my bottom row of teeth to compact against each other. My dentist says implants are the only option, but I cannot afford them. He says I should get insurance, but every company I look at says that their insurance doesn’t cover implants. Could you suggest an insurance comapany that does? I can only eat on one side of my mouth and want to try and sort this out. Would insurers view this as a pre-existing condition and therefore not cover it? Please help

A. Most insurance companies don’t cover implants on insurance. This is partly due to the high cost of implants and the variety of options they can be used for. You could try Norwich Union (Aviva) as they do a policy that might be suitable but discuss your treatment with an advisor first.
