Can you please tell me if the procedure is simple a I do not want my bottom teeth to be effected as I genarally have healthy teeth. Also is it simple to take the crowns out in order to put the new ones in? and can you please tell me the cost and in future how best to look after them. I have a fear that crowns can suddenly come off, please tell me is this the case! Thank you very much for your help.

Wednesday, March 11th, 2009
Q.
Sometime in July 2008 I had a root canal therapy on my premolar and had not fixed a crown on it when on accidentally bit on a small piece of bone which led to a small part of the premolar cracking and falling off. I am one who has phobia for removing my tooth. What is the next possible treatment i can have now. I do not feel any pain but sometimes feel a kind of numbness around the upper gum. Please advise me

i had a crown fitted that needed to be drilled down

Friday, February 13th, 2009
Q.
I had a porcelain crown fited yesterday. The dentist was checking my bite and said when I close my teeth together, the crown should not sit ‘proud’ because this would damage the crown. He drilled off the excess of the crown in order for it to sit correctly. This unfortunately means, I have a crown and from underneath the metal post is clearly visible. I am worried about this. Should I have cause for concern? Can the crown be replaced if I am not too happy about the metal post showing through. The tooth in question is at the side of my mouth. Six tooth in from the front. I would value your advice please.

7 months ago I had a dental crown placed on an implant

Thursday, January 22nd, 2009
Q.
7 months ago I had a dental crown placed on an implant and now it is loose. I went to my peridontist and was told that the abutment screw was loose and needed to be tightened. He also told me that the crown would be drilled into to reach the screw. I just finished paying for the crown. I am wondering if there is anything that can be done to save it. I also would like to know what can do to prevent this from happening over again.

I had dental crown for my top front two teeth

Wednesday, January 21st, 2009
Q.
I had dental crown for my top front two teeth before. They had been 12 years. For some reasons and the policy of the dental insurance, I recently have had partial dentures for that two teeth. I have been feeling difficulites to chew the food and dentures would fall out themselves. The metal frame of the dentures makes me feel not comfortable all the time. I am so regret to have this surgery. Should I talk to the dentist about the issue of the dentures and Is there any way I can do if I want a treatment of dental crown? Thank you for your advices.

My front four top teeth are in need of crowns

Friday, January 2nd, 2009
Q.
Hello there, I’ve seen your contributions to dentist’s blog at : http://www.cosmeticdentistryguide.co.uk/blog/hi-i-was-looking-for-some-advice/ My front four top teeth are in need of crowns, I think. Currently they are heavily filled, discoloured and I hate them. Could you please advise how do I go about choosing a good dentist? Thank you in advance for your response.

I have 4 teeth that are heavily filled

Tuesday, December 23rd, 2008
Q.
Hi, I have a question. I have 4 teeth that are heavily filled also on 2 of them I dont have that much tooth left. My nhs dentist has told me that they cannot fit crowns on the 2 teeth because there is not that much tooth left. Now, I dont really want to go for Implants now, because they are basically surviving on a large filling. Can i request crowns or should my dentist advise me what I should do. I basically feel like she is leaving it too late and leaving it till i dont have much tooth left and then saying i cannot put crowns on there. I am only 28 and only eat on one side of my mouth, so this is the reason why most of my teeth are filled on one side.. My question is can I request crowns or should she advise me. ..Pls can you get back to me. Thanks

i have recently had a fall and my front tooth has broken off

Friday, December 12th, 2008
Q.
I have recently had a fall and smashed my face againt a wall, part of my front tooth has broken off which has now left the remainder of my tooth with a sharp point and looks awful. If i go to the detist will they be able to treat me right away, and what is the procedure to repair a chipped tooth. Is there any pain involved as i have a great fear of going to the dentists and avoid needles at all costs. And any idea of what the price would be.
