I had a root canal therapy on my premolar

Q. Sometime in July 2008 I had a root canal therapy on my premolar and had not fixed a crown on it when on accidentally bit on a small piece of bone which led to a small part of the premolar cracking and falling off. I am one who has phobia for removing my tooth. What is the next possible treatment i can have now. I do not feel any pain but sometimes feel a kind of numbness around the upper gum. Please advise me

A. You need to have the tooth crowned as soon as possible. when teeth are root treated the access causes the tooth to become weaker and the tooth is much more likely to fracture. You would need to go to your dentist and ask him/her to place a crown over the top before any more of the tooth fractures
Kind regards
