i need to fix my gaps in my front teeth are there any other alternatives other than braces

Q.
Hi, My problem is that in recent years my teeth seem to have moved and caused caps with the result of my two teeth at the front now protrude. My teeth have always been straight and so its a liitle disappointing to find as an adult they stick out. Especially as I had to wear braces for years growing up! My dentist has refered me to an orthodontist to assess and seems to think it can be corrected with braces over a long period of time. Not sure if I can bear the thought of braces again, so are there any other alternatives that are no to costly ? Be grateful for your advice Many thanks

i am uncomfortable with braces what are the options?

Monday, April 20th, 2009
Q.
I had braces (train track type) top and bottom in Dec 08. I’ve been told I’ll need to wear them for 1 1/2 years, have a operation to have my lower jaw brought forward (bite is out) then wear braces for another 6 months, then a retainer at night. This has been done on the NHS but my problem is they are so uncomfortable and they are making me miserable, I’ve lost a stone in weight and I’m quite slight anyway. They constantly rub, my lips struggle to accommodate the brace and and are constantly sore. I really can’t express who this is making me feel. What are options? 5 weeks or so I go back but they are always in such a hurry and have no time to see how I’m getting on with them.

my front right tooth is just out whether inman aligner or 6 month smiles is my best option

Q.
Hello, I wonder if you could help me? I’m looking at the different treatments that are on this website and im not 100% sure what I should be going for. I have an underbite and because of this i had to had one of those braces that pushes your bottom jaw forward. I had this when i was in school and never really wore it due to peer pressure etc, i did wear it a few times but got bullied for it… even though i never really wore it at school the position of my teeth has moved slightly, even though my dentist at the time said the position of my jaw had improved and that i was ready for train tracks the lady at the hospital said otherwise and said i had to wear the jaw brace for another year or so. This is the point where i gave up on it as i figured if id worn it for the year already and it hadnt done enough then what was the point. I cant quite remember my age at the time. Also my right front tooth juts out and i am very self concious of it. I am quite scared of going to the dentist, i havnt been in a long time (since my jaw brace) . I do brush my teeth day and night and use mouth wash etc but still have a build up of plaque etc on the back of my lower front teeth. It gets me down quite a lot and people think im misserable as i never smile. I notice it all the time when i go out shopping etc as when i speak to someone instantly they look at my teeth. It makes me feel very unactractive and think that maybe having cosmetic dentistry is the way for me to go. I looked at the inman aligner and the six month smile and a couple of others but im not sure what to go for. I’m only 20 years old and i should be enjoying life but this really gets me down. I need this fixing, Iv started my new job up in London, so i feel like im actually starting to get somewhere but at the same time i feel like my apperance is holding me back. I haved lived in Essex all my life and have dreams and aspirations like everyone else but i just feel that with these teeth … im not going to get anywhere fast. Any information would be greatly appreciated. (sorry for ranting on but i had to tell you the whole story πŸ™‚ )

i am very upset about my inman aligner braces and hope you can help

Q.
Hello Dr Solanki I have the inman aligner brace which I have had in since sept 2008. Now although they have moved there is still my front second to left tooth which still needs pushing out more but according to the brace it is in alignment therefore has no more room to be pushed out?. Also my fang teeth seem to have gone in and are now on a slanted angle instead of straight which is making the front second to right tooth which is in a perfect postion slighty stick out due to the fangs going in?? Hope that this makes sense? I am very upset about it and hope you can you help!! Thank you Kind Regards

I want to correct my teeth but do not want to go for the metal braces. I have heard about invisible braces and was wondering whether they could be an option as they are not noticeable and seem to be pain free. I have goofy teeth so i have an overbite( top teeth) and i have crowded teeth on the bottom. also how much would they cost as i am 18. thanks in advance

Monday, April 20th, 2009
Q.
Hi, I have had goofy teeth that would improve in appearance if they could be straightened. I am looking to ask about the cost of ceramic braces which are fitted not the removable ones as I never keep them in. Thank you.

How do I go about choosing the dentist and what is the pricing structure for invisalign

Sunday, April 19th, 2009
Q.
Hi, I am 24 and I have hated my teeth since I rejected the opportunity for permanent braces are having retainers. I have noticed that my two front teeth are becoming more outwardly protruded and crooked. I want to have a invisalign brace fitted but am unsure whether this will treat my case. How do I go about choosing what dentist to go to and what is the pricing structure for this procedure as well? Thanks
