what is the best option for my sticked out teeth invisalign or inman aligner

Q.
Hi, i have had a consultaion for the inman alligner and the invisable brace. the problem i have is with my two top front teeth they are slightley bigger than the rest of my teeth and stick out a bit. i have had a consultaion and the dr said i qualify for either appliance, however is recommending i have the invisaligne which could possibley be a full case as this appliance has the benefit to push the front two teeth up and the inman can only push them back. i am not sure what option to take as the invisaligne costs alot more… i am more concerned my teeth stick out rather than the size my question is if i had the inman alligner and it pushed my teeth back would it be noticeable ?… i feel in my consultaion the dr was pushing me towards the invisable brace and convenientley had them himself and showened me a picture of someone wearing the inman alligner which did not look pretty at all. my concerns are the cost of the treatment… im looking to get what i want from what i pay…. how much differnce would i gain if i went ahead with the invisable brace? thanks

My front teeth are slightly overlaps should i go for veneer or to get braces

Monday, August 3rd, 2009
Q.
Hi Dr, My front 4 teeth slightly overlap and have holes in the middle, one tooth is slightly chipped. I would love to have perfectly straight teeth without the holes and chips. I asked my dentist and she said I would need 4 Veneers but I also could go to an orthodontist to get these teeth straightened and then filling them would be no problem and it might be better. I’m not sure what is the best thing to do – get braces and then end up getting veneers also, taking more time and money or just getting veneers now to solve all my problems but in the long run what would the benefits be am I better to try to preserve my natural teeth as long as possible? Also my daugther is 10 and her teeth are very crooked bottom and top. She still has some baby teeht and her eye teeth have not come down yet – is it too early to start orthodontic treatment?

Would fixed metal braces get my six front teeth straightened?

Friday, July 31st, 2009
Q.
Hi, due to years of thumbsucking my left central overlaps my right and there is a lot of crowding on my top teeth. I also have a rotated canine tooth which sticks out. I realise I have a very narrow arch. I have enquired about the Inman aligner at several clinics, some say I am not suitable and others say they can make a huge improvement but not to expect a Hollywood smile. How much of an improvement can the Inman’s make? I am only particularly concerned with my top six teeth that show when I smile, I am not interested in correcting any other problems. Would the appearance of my front six teeth be much different looking if I chose to get my teeth straightened with a fixed metal brace?

Ive gaps between my 2 front teeth will teeth effect band suit me

Thursday, July 30th, 2009
Q.
Hiya Dr Patel, I’ve been looking into various treatments to close the gap between my 2 front teeth. The gap is approximately 2-3mm. Whilst researching treatments such as invisalign and inman aligners i have came across a product called Teeth Effect Bands, these claim to close the gap without the need for visiting a dentist. They apparantly act like an elastic band that draws your teeth together. I was wondering if you fell these are an effective treatment and would you recommend them for my issue. Thanking you kindly

Ive large space on my two front teeth what are my options

Thursday, July 30th, 2009
Q.
I have a large space at the side of my two front teeth left side, I know I am not suitable for inman aligner, nor sure about invisalign, my two front teeth are very sightly spaced but one sits out a little bit further than the other. I feel like I am running out of options now. Don’t really want train track braces and as my teeth are really healthy veneers were my last option if I emailed you some pictures would you given me your recommendation. Many thanks.

Ive an overbite problem will it be okay to have invisible braces and then followed by jaw surgery

Tuesday, July 28th, 2009
Q.
Dear Dr Patel I have had an overbite problem all my life. My top jaw is alot more “forward” than my bottom jaw which creates a rather large overbite. I have had fixed braces to try and alleviate the problem, by pushing the top teeth back and straightening the lower teeth. However my teeth are now moving back to there original position. I have been referred to see a maxiofacial surgeon who has informed me that the only way to permanently solve the problem is to have fixed braces for 18 months followed by jaw surgery to move the lower jaw forward. I am not looking forward to the prospect of wearing fixed braces again for such a long duration. However I am happy to have the jaw surgery to correct the overbite. I was wondering if I would be eligible to have the new types of invisible braces instead of the traditional “train tracks”? Any advice would be much appreciated! Thanks!

One of my tooth near the front has moved back over will invisalign suitable for me

Monday, July 27th, 2009
Q.
On my top row of teeth, on the right hand side, one of my teeth near the front has moved back over. Now there is a gap between that tooth and my row of teeth. When i was younger i was meant to get braces, but i dread the thought of them and i couldnt go through with getting. I am now 21 and reconsidering the idea of having them. I like the sound of the invislagin braces, would they be suitable for my problem? If not could you recommend another treatment.
