i need to fix my gaps in my front teeth are there any other alternatives other than braces

Q. Hi, My problem is that in recent years my teeth seem to have moved and caused caps with the result of my two teeth at the front now protrude. My teeth have always been straight and so its a liitle disappointing to find as an adult they stick out. Especially as I had to wear braces for years growing up! My dentist has refered me to an orthodontist to assess and seems to think it can be corrected with braces over a long period of time. Not sure if I can bear the thought of braces again, so are there any other alternatives that are no to costly ? Be grateful for your advice Many thanks

A. This is acommon thing that I deal with alot. I cannot stress enough the importance of wearing a retainer after orthodontic work.
Your treatment all depends on the current position of the teeth. If brces is not an option, then possibly the thought of having veneers or crowns at the front might be worth considering.
