What are the options available in regards to replacing a false tooth?

Monday, April 26th, 2010
Q.
About 7 years ago I was advised by my dentist to have my front right tooth taken out. I had chipped it a few years earlier and a xray showed that I had fractured my tooth in 3 places as well as the pallet of my mouth. She fitted me with a false tooth on a plate (like a brace). A few years ago I went back as i hate wearing this and she said that she could put a tooth in with wings and glue it in place. Well she made a bodge job and took it straight back out. I’m only 33 and really sick of having this false tooth in as it’s started to drop slightly and I’m really embarrassed about it. I think it’s starting to make my breath smell too. What other options to I have and what are the costs? Thanks Sarah,

I would like a wider smile, would a palate expander and dental implants help me?

Q.
Hi. When I smile I have gaps at the corners of my mouth which looks like my upper palate is too narrow for my mouth. I would like a wider smile and wondered if a palate expander and dental implant would help me? – I had one my my back teeth removed before I had braces so I think this has caused my palette to look narrower,

How long can I leave the implant in without the tooth being fitted?

Thursday, April 15th, 2010
Q.
Dear Mr Moore, I had a missing front/upper tooth and had the titanium pin placed on my bone almost a year ago. I am having some financial trouble and have delayed the treatment. The question is: For how long is it safe to wait until I have the job finished and if there is any problem of having this screw without a teeth? Regards, Marlova,

Wednesday, April 14th, 2010
Q.
i have a baby tooth which at the age of 38 is now becoming loose, but x-rays show there is no 2nd tooth in the gum to come down to replace the baby one. Is it possible to have a bridge or would i need to have a false tooth screwed into my gum. I do not want a false tooth on a plate :-(. And i would like to know the prices please. Thank you.,

Can I have a tooth implant where the gap is now closed?

Tuesday, April 13th, 2010
Q.
Hi, I have two gaps on my left side where two gums were removed in my early 20’s. I am now 30 and have an appointment with an implant specialist. I was wondering as my dentist says the upper gap is now ‘closed’ can i still have an implant there?(one consultant i saw said a way around this could be either a ‘mini implant’ or to shave part of the surrounding teeth adjacent to the gap to make room?) any advice much appreciated! Thanks.,
