Can a tooth extraction and a dental implant take place in the same day?

Tuesday, March 23rd, 2010
Q.
Can an extraction of a damaged tooth and an implant procedure take place on the same day? And: if one is having an extraction take place, is it ok to have it done by any dentist, ie: would it be better to have the extraction done by an implant specialist, do they do extractions? Thanks,

Can you put me in the direction of dental trials? I hate my smile

Friday, March 19th, 2010
Q.
Hi Dr.. Im in a position where i hate to smile cos of the way my teeth look as have gaps at back top and bottom both sides and caps of front which look shabby. I would love the idea of tooth implants but unfortunately i simply cant afford it and would never get finance to help cover the cost due to the amount of problems ive had recently. So.. trying to find a way to solve my issue i keep hitting walls and wonder if maybe you could put me in a direction of maybe some Dental trials etc?? I have also been reading on new development on Ultrasound growing new teeth? Is there maybe trials going on in U,K soon?? I dont have many problems in life but get so down about this issue as feel kike i cant go out with friends cos like them i would look and see things i dont want to see and im getting really depressed without a way of solving this issue. Thanks for your time and hope to hear from you soon.

Can anything be done about an implant treatment gone wrong?

Thursday, March 18th, 2010
Q.
I have nearly finished treatment for an implant. However the way my gum was cut to place the implant means I have a v shaped gap in my gum, so the crown will not follow my normal gum line – the first one they tried had pink coloured porcelain at the top, (about 1/2 cm) which didn’t match my gum! It looks terrible. Can anything be done about this?,

Q.
My 17 1/2 year old daughters adult eye teeth were never formed. She is currently having orthodontic work to make spaces for maryland bridges. But we are now seriously considering implants. Is she too young and will there be enough bone? Thank you Regards Mrs E Pearce,
