Hello Dr Moore. Last year I had a hard acrylic night guard for my bottom set of teeth as I grind my teeth and recently I got my gorgeous upper veneers fitted. My question is, should I continue to wear the hard mouth guard or get fitted for a softer one? I am concerned that my grinding against the hard plastic can wear down my new veneers.
I grind with my back teeth and not the front but it still worries me that the hard acrylic may harm my new teeth. Your help is much appreciated.
Hello Dr Moore, I’d like your advice. My daughter aged 32, has had an accident and has been hit in her mouth by her horse. Three front teeth have been knocked out leaving the roots. What can we do and who should she see to correct this for her? We live in the North West and we’re not sure what sort of dental treatment she will need or even who to contact. Should she have implants, veneers or crowns fitted? The cost is not a problem as we want her to have the best treatment. Any recommendation would be gratefully received. Thank you.

I have a denture in my top row of teeth at the front and was thinking about veneers. Is it possible to have veneers even though there is no tooth there? How much roughly would it cost for me to have veneers? Or is there another procedure that I could have to get the smile I always wanted? What is the length of the procedure? I have already inquired about an implant but I had a scan and it revealed that their is not enough bone for me to have the implant.

Hi. I have okay teeth but quite a few with mercury filling, some missing due to pregnancy (This is over 17 years ago) and now I feel I may lose a front one. I have a face to face job role which is why I would like to know if you could recommend or if possible either free or very low cost veneers done by a student. I have had my front top two redone as the enamel was eroding them. I am on a low income but I am willing to contribute. I am finding it difficult to find a dentist and feel for me to keep my teeth this is my only option. I do not like to ask but I also do not want to not smile again. Hi Dr Moore. I currently have brown stains on my teeth and I have just had a polished at the dentists but they are still there. How can I get rid of them? Are there any home treatments I can use? Or do I have to see someone? How much would it cost? Or am I just stuck with them? I drink a tea a lot and fizzy juice but have started to cut down on the juice but still drink tea but with no sugar. If you could help me that would be great as It affects my confidence and I find it hard to smile and talk to people.
Hi Dr Moore, Do you know if there are any dentists in the London area that do affordable crowns or veneers. I hate my teeth and want to get cosmetic dentistry done. Also right in the middle of my bottom teeth I have a black dot. I’m wondering what it is as I have no pain in any of my teeth I have not been to the dentist for about 7 years as I have a phobia. My teeth are not in that bad condition only the left side with two teeth and the back have decay on them but the rest of my teeth are okay. Hello Dr Hughes, I hope you can help me. I have got a lot of crowns and bridges which are mixed throughout my mouth but also some of my own teeth in between. Top and bottom, but mostly the top teeth. Am I still able to have snap on veneers? Also my bridge on top of mouth has 4 front teeth shorter than other teeth – Can those 4 teeth be made longer? I also have a crown which has fallen out and not been replaced making bottom of my teeth at the side show through. Thank you for your advice.
Hi Dr Shaffie. I hope you can help me with some good advice. I am 21 years old and really dislike my teeth, my front tooth seems to be slightly further behind my other front teeth and they are not well shaped.
I don’t want veneers due to the costing – What other options are available please? I would consider cosmetic bonding but again don’t really know the costing. Please could you advise me?

Hi Dr Shaffie. I am 21 years old and I have naturally yellow teeth. I feel ashamed when I talk with somebody and I’m unable to smile properly. What are the possible solution to make my teeth white? I want to ask where I can get treatment for my yellow teeth as I’m unable to attract people and wish to have a beautiful smile. I really feel very ashamed because of yellow teeth and I don’t even smoke, drink or eat junk food, I brush daily twice. But this doesn’t help. Please give me suggestions to make them white.
