What would it cost to have teeth removed and to get dentures?

Wednesday, March 10th, 2010
Q.
hello there. I desperately need some help and advice. I have had a fear of dentists for the last 30 years (im now 40)as a result, I have not visited a dentist for that amount of time but plucked up the courage last year as my whole top set of teeth are rotten. The dentist i visited admitted my teeth would need removing but i dont know where i can find the money. My husband earns over the limit for working tax credits and because i am a full time nursing student, the tax credit service have taken my bursary into account making us not eligble for help even though with full rent, council tax, car finance and 4 children to feed we are struggling. I no longer smile, i try not to leave the house because im so embarrased an have even considered leaving my course because im finding it difficult to try and talk without opening my mouth due to the embarrassment my teeth are causing me. I am completely at the end of my tether with it all and my confidence has hit rock bottom. Please could you advise the cost of having all of my top teeth removed as none are salvedgable and dentures made. I just want to be normal again. Also, how would i go about making an appointment with a hospital dentist if needed? Many thanks for your time as I appreciate that you are busy.,

What treatment can I have to improve my smile?

Tuesday, February 16th, 2010
Q.
Hi, please help! I am 25 years old, and all my life I have had very poor teeth. I had an operation when I was 4yrs old and the anaesthetic, combined with the fact that my Dad had an enamel defficiency led me to have brown lines across my front teeth and all of the others slowly rotting away ever since I can remember. I had veneers put onto my front teeth when I was about 16 so they are not a huge issue, but the rest of them are terrible. I have had 3 extractions so far, and have several very heavy fillings and my teeth are crooked and squashed up. I have considered having a full set of dentures just to eleviate my pain and constant embarassment of having ugly teeth, plus limiting the huge amount of cost I would have to pay to have my teeth constantly repaired. All I want is to smile and laugh without having to put my hand over my mouth.,

What treatment can I get to fill tooth gap?

Thursday, January 21st, 2010
Q.
I broke my tooth in early preganancy and was told I would probably need a root canal when the baby was born. The baby is now born and on returning to the dentist, he got rid of most of the decay and put a temporary filling in. I cannot put any pressure on the tooth and it is very sensitive – on returning today another dentist said extraction is the only option as it is too decayed. I am 34 and already have lost one tooth years ago so am worried to lose another – are there any other options? Or if it is taken out what can I do to fill the gap?,
