My dentist drilled at the back of my front teeth and shaved some off and now its sensitive advice?

Tuesday, June 30th, 2009
Q.
I had a filling replaced on my upper right 2nd to last tooth. then had a piece of on top of the tooth fixed on the bottom left. after ward my bite was so off my front bottom teeth hit my top on the inside. went back and the dentist said it wasn’t from the work I needed a night guard. went to another dentist who said the same thing. sill don’t think they were right because my bite got worse to the point I couldn’t chew gum anymore because it bothered me so much. went back to my dentist recently and he took a drill to the back of my front teeth and shaved some off to correct it. now the back of my front teeth are very sensitive. is that normal and should that have been done. because now I am thinking he drilled off the enamel please let me know your thoughts.

Ive a baby tooth which has not yet fallen out as the tooth what kind of procedure i would need

Tuesday, June 30th, 2009
Q.
Dear Dr Patel I have recently been told that I need to have a brace fitted. I have a baby tooth which has not yet fallen out as the tooth above has not come through. I am 26 years old and I am most distressed about this. I do not know why it wasn’t picked up before and as I already have many self issues I feel a brace is going to upset me even more. Please could you tell me about what kind of procedure I would need. I have been advised that I would need to have the roof of my mouth drilled and then the tooth would have to be pulled through and fitted to a brace. Is this correct? I hope to hear from you soon. Kind Regards

Im currently in cairo and i have a teeth sticking out at an awkward angle how can i get it fixed

Monday, June 29th, 2009
Q.
Hi. I am currently residing in cairo and i plan to be here for the next seven months. Till january 2010. I was looking into getting orthodentic treatment done on my teeth. You see, when i was 16, i had braces for 7months, but the dental nurse didnt ake teeth out and so i was left with teeth sticking out at an awkward angle in the front. After that, my teeth kept moving and they went back to normal. I visited an orthodentist here in Cairo and he said that he could start treatment, but it would take 18months or so, and im also past my 6months in pregnancy right now. The dentist here said that he could start treatment and send with me a referral letter for when i return to englang. I was wondering what advice you could give me about this, and if that is possible. Also, what kind of costs am i looking at? Thank you for your time.

Im 42 and is it possible to have my bottom teeth moved back little before i have a new crown

Friday, June 26th, 2009
Q.
I am a 42yrs old male, and i have had my four upper front teeth crowned for many years now, and they are about due for replacing. However, because my bottom teeth protrude slightly, this causes the upper crowns to do the same. Is it possible to have my bottom teeth moved back a little before i have the new crowns fitted? and if so, What would the procedure be and how long would this usually take? Thanks!

I have a deep overbite and crowding on my lower teeth can i get it jaw surgery in NHS

Friday, June 26th, 2009
Q.
Hi I am 24 and I am wondering if you can offer me some advice. I have a deep overbite and crowding of my lower teeth. My dentist said it is routine orthondonics and shouldn’t cost more than £3000 or under. She referred me to Birmingham dental hospital and I had an appointment there and was told the problem is not severe enough to get treatment under nhs. He also assured me it wouldn’t be too costly for private treatment. I had a consultation today at a Birmingham clinic and was told I am looking at at least £4500 and that it is very complex, she wanted to move my top teeth back to fix my overbite which I thought was quite strange as my bottom jaw needs moving out. My jaw clicks when I speak and eat and I constantly aches as I cannot close my mouth properly, I cannot afford £4500 and can’t believe this was not picked up on when I was a teenager. Do you know of anywhere that will treat me on nhs and is £4500 really, realistic? I have heard of people receiving treatment on the nhs when jaw surgery is needed.
