Im 39 years old and ive braces for 15 months and my face appears quite larger can u explain

Hello, I am 39 years old and I have been wearing braces for about 15 months. During this time, I have noticed that each side of my face has become gradually wider. It was not until recently when I started to look at some of photos of my self that my face has appears quite larger. It appears that the angle of my jaw has moved away from my ear and my jaw is a bit more pronounced. I will say that I am quite depressed by this. I don’t look the same as once did prior to braces. I don’t like to smile because when I do, the sides of my face projected out as if my masseter muscle has been on steroids. Also, my cheek bones ball up when I smile. I don’t understand why this happening and I am searching for possible answers. Thank you for your time

My daughter starting the ortho treatment will moving the teeth causes the bonding to crack

My daughter is 13 years old 4years ago she fell roller skating and had a type 3 fracture on her top front teeth. They have both had a root canal and have been bonded, We are starting ortho treatment to a severe overbite and protruding front teeth. And crowding My question is will moving the teeth in treatment cause the bonding to crack or cause root resorption? The ortho Dr has been doing this for 27 years he knows its a special case and even is taken precautions by putting brackets on the front tooth for more stregnth. We have been through so much and do not need anymore to worry about. She starts headgear next week I am just afraid those 2 front teeth will crack or fall out Any advise?

Hi I have recently been for a consultation to find out if I am suitable for Invisalign – and I am. I am concerned though about proceeding (which I definately want to do) having only had advice and costings from one person. Do you recommend having a consultation with more than one dentist? Or is anyone listed on the Invisalign site safe to proceed with. I am happy with the cost I have been quoted but would rather pay less if I can! Many thanks
