Tuesday, August 18th, 2009
Q.
I lost a front tooth in my teens during a sporting accident. Over the years my front teeth closed up and they look absolutely awful. I’m 43 now and even though my teeth are in pretty good condition I’ve always wanted a nice smile. Have I left too late and would I have to spend years in braces.

Do you know a good dentist in london who performs ALF treatment

Tuesday, August 18th, 2009
Q.
Hi So, I’m 40 & have finally got round to getting my teeth straightened. They’re not bad except there’s crowding & my teeth are not in a nice round arch. I have some back tweaks & also grind, so ALF seems to be the best treatment. Straightened teeth in a holistic way. So my question: anyone know of a good dentist in London who performs this treatment as I would like to book a consultation. I sent an email in the ‘Contact Us’ section of this website but failed to receive an answer as yet. Thanks

My jaw is bit to forward can I get it fixed in NHS for free

Tuesday, August 18th, 2009
Q.
Hi, I have a cannine tooth stuck up under the roof of my mouth, I was told this when I was 13 & needed fixed braces as my teeth were in very bad shape and over crowded, I wouldn’t go ahead with it as I was terrified of needles and the operation I had to have. Since then, I have been bullied my way out of comprehensive school and had to move schools, but the bullying still continued. I am now 19 and still get nasty remarks made about my teeth, which has destroyed my self esteem badly and even caused depression. So I decided to ask my dentist to refer me to the orthadontist at a hospital. I had xrays taken and he said that the tooth is still there and would need further xrays to see if the tooth that is stuck has done damage to roots of my front teeth and I would need a couple of teeth taken to make room for the cannine tooth that is stuck. And also wear fixed braces for two years. He also said that my jaw was a bit to foward. As I am 19, the braces I will have to pay for myself, but cannot afford them. The orthadontist at the hospital said as I needed alot of work done, I might be able to get them free of charge under the NHS, so I phoned the Local Health Board up, but I don’t think they really understood my problem. Now I am really unsure on what to do, and if I am covered for all of this under the NHS and how would I find out. Thankyou for your time 🙂

Monday, August 17th, 2009
Q.
I have one inciser on my upper set which is well back from the others. It makes it difficult for me to eat and actually hurts as a catch my tongue on it. How would you propose to sort this for me. I have photographs of my mouth if you require. My dentist didn’t know what to do. I am male and 23 years old. It would be great to get it done as I am very conscious about it also. Thank you and look forward to hearing from you.

What is price range for inman Aligner or 6 month smiles

Monday, August 17th, 2009
Q.
Hello I am 24 years of age and sick of teeth!!! Sounds bad I know… The main problem is my two front teeth that stick out causing a moderate to severe overbite. The lateral incisors also stick out but only slightly. Overall they dont look incredibly bad (as friends and family say) but I would prefer straight teeth as I am extremely self concious. I am looking into orthodontic treatment and in particular Inman Aligners or 6 -Month smiles but I’m unsure which will achieve better results or if they’ll both equally effective. Also, what are the price ranges for both options? Thanks!!!
