What treatment option would you suggest to help stabilize a loose tooth?

Wednesday, December 8th, 2010
Q.

i have been to my dentist and she said that i had a slight pocket in my gum which was causing my 2 front teeth to be slightly loose.when i went back to her,i told her that my teeth had become slightly more loose but only slightly.i raised my issues that i didn’t want to lose my tooth but she didn’t suggest anything to help save my teeth.she has referred me to a hygienist to have clean and scrap but i would like to know why she hasn’t suggested anything or done anything to help me.would you be able to suggest anything to help strengthen my teeth.also i have heard about getting you teeth splinted to help stregnthen them and keep them stable.can you tell me a bit about it and is available on the nhs.many thanks

Hi Dr Justin,

Am wondering how can I start free dental care with my maternity exemption certificate?? Should I choose any dentist, book for an appointment and then go? Or my GP will choose for me?

How can I find out more about the treatment procedure for realigning my jaw?

Friday, December 3rd, 2010
Q.

I have severe misalignment of my upper jaw over my lower i can stick a finger in between. I know that i would probably need surgery to realign my jaw as i was advised this as a teenager. how do i go about this i am very keen to get it sorted as it ruins my appearance. Could i get it through a general private orthodontic practice in London? or through the nhs? my dentist said I would have to pay privately) Also is there anyway i call call to ask about it or somewhere you would recommend?
Many thanks

Is it possible to get teeth implants on the NHS?

Thursday, December 2nd, 2010
Q.

hi. i’m 17 and i have gum disease, i used to smoke but have now quit, not long ago. my teeth are very wobbly and i’m thinking that they will have to be taken out or they will fall out. i’m very worried as i am scared to be 18 and toothless. i was wondering if i would be about to get teeth implants on the nhs? as my mum is a single part-time worker, and i couldn’t possibly afford it. i live in blackpool. please reply asap. many thanks.

Will the NHS provide cosmetic dentistry?

Friday, November 26th, 2010
Q.

I am 57 and feel quite young except for my teeth. They are in a terrible state and it spoils every day for me. I cannot afford anything other than NHS treatment and feel that life is just passing me by because of my mouth. Please could you suggest anywhere I could go that would give me a sympathetic hearing. I don’t care how far I would have to travel I just want to be able to smile.

Can I have my underbite corrected with an NHS dentist?

Wednesday, November 24th, 2010
Q.

hello I’m 32 yr old, and I have a really bad under-bite, I’m know as the Girl with out teeth, or the woman who never smiles, Because my mother was a single mother of three kids, she couldn’t afford to take me to the dentist.. I will be getting married soon and I would like to be able to smile walking down the isle.. I’ve looked in to cosmetic surgery, and I can’t afford to pay for it, so my question to you is what should I do, is there any way i can do to be able to smile..
