Can I have my underbite corrected with an NHS dentist?

Q.
hello I’m 32 yr old, and I have a really bad under-bite, I’m know as the Girl with out teeth, or the woman who never smiles, Because my mother was a single mother of three kids, she couldn’t afford to take me to the dentist.. I will be getting married soon and I would like to be able to smile walking down the isle.. I’ve looked in to cosmetic surgery, and I can’t afford to pay for it, so my question to you is what should I do, is there any way i can do to be able to smile..

I would suggest you call the NHS directly or get an appointment with you nearest NHS Dentist or Orthodontist.

Hi,

I am 21 years old and have an underbite and also a small top jaw. I got told I could have it on the NHS but my parents were too worried about the potential side effects of having it done so they paid for my to have an upper brace to sort out my top teeth. However, my confidence is still very low and now wish I had had it done. I emailed my old orthodontists to enquire whether I can have this procedure now. They said I couldn’t have it done anymore as I am over 18 but I recall my orthodontist saying I still could due to how bad my jaw(s) are. So now I am very confused, please help!
