Can i have treatment on NHS i have mouth ulcers and crooked teeth

Tuesday, August 12th, 2008
Q.
I suffer with severe mouth ulcers but have crooked teeth that i am very concious over and would like to be straightened but i have been told that having a brace would just cause even more discomfort for my ulcers. is there any other alternative brace other than having a ‘train track’ type that would cause me discomfort, or any other type of surgery that could straighten my teeth. I am 19 and in full time education so would be enquiring as to prices aswell and if i would be able to get any of this surgery on the NHS. Thank you for your help.

Tuesday, August 12th, 2008
Q.
Ive been told that i have got periondotal disease i have lost one upper front tooth because of this but i wear a partial denture. its my lower 6 teeth im concerned about they are all out of allignent the two middle ones have pushed forwrd and the others either side are longer and my gums have reeceded i have asked my local dentist to extracted my lower 6 teeth but she wont do this on the nhs , so im thinking if i go privately how much would this cost for me to have 6 teeth extracted and have a fixed bridge put there in place my life would be so less complicated. thankyou for your tme.

my teeth are falling out and i cannot afford implants

Thursday, July 31st, 2008
Q.
Hi.my bottom 4 teeth are all but ready to fall out.i think they are only held in by the plaque behind those teeth.when i was last at dentist he said he couldnt realy clean them because they were slack.but they have got worse.i am dreading losing them though i know it is inevitable.he wouldnt crown my top 2 teeth either because he said they wouldnt last 5 year.i am not in a position to pay for implants and it seems that if you get free treatment the options are poor due to lack of money.i would like replacement teeth to look at least real.my mam has recently had a full set of false teeth and they look realy fake compared to some people that look real(why is that?)what are my options.thanks in advance

My daughter has an open anterior bite and needs an NHS orthodontist

Thursday, April 3rd, 2008
Q.
My daughter is 11 years old with an open anterior bite, she has all adult teeth on the upper arch with just a couple of deciduous teeth left to loose on the lowers, I have not asked for orthodontic treatment on her before now as I did not want to put her through treatment only to have to be repeated with the loss of baby teeth. So now I am looking for an orthodontist, and please dont laugh, I am in need of somebody who would except her on the NHS, I would dearly love for her to recieve orthodontis without the removal of teeth however I feel I will struggle trying to find a NHS dentist, can you please help, advice, anything, We would be very grateful.. Kindest regards
