Q.
I have amelogenesis imperfecta, I’m 23 and currently have temporay composite buildups on front 8 teeth (top) and front 10 teeth bottom. I have 7 Gold crowns at the back, with 3 more to come when my wisdoms settle. I have a few questions, Can a crown be fitted to a tooth that has no roots? What would you reccommend crowns or veneers as a more permenant treatment? And why? I understand both crowns and veneers need replacing, considering my age, how many times can this be done? And finially do crowns and/or veneers go under the gum (to cover all discolouration) or will there be a line between gum and fitting? there is currently a clear line as my gums have receeded since my tempory composites were done. Many Thanks
