Do I have any options in cosmetic dentistry that will give me 2 upper front teeth

Wednesday, April 1st, 2009
Q.
When I was around 10 years old, I lost one of my front teeth in an accident. For some reason, the dentist who treated me did not replace this tooth, but simply ‘closed the gap’ leaving me with just one central front tooth. The lack of a correct ‘centre line’, and no 2 proper front teeth has troubled me ever since (I’m now 40). Do I have any options in cosmetic dentistry that will give me 2 upper front teeth (I guess other teeth will need be to be changed too, and it will be like trying to fit 4 teeth into a space where there are now 3, or fitting 6 teeth in where there are now 5 etc!!) Any advice much appreciated! Thank you.

The crown continues to break off the implant

Wednesday, April 1st, 2009
Q.
My husband eye tooth brook off, and since it was so far down, his dentist advise us to have it removed and an implant done. He has had that done, and the crown continues to break off the implant. He is not eating anything hard when it breaks off. This last time was a sandwich. The third replacement was only three weeks ago. His dentist blames him, or that the cement is not good enough. I don’t understand why he is having these problems. My top four teeth are all crowned and I have had them for 10 years and not one problem, and I eat apples, and all kinds of hard items.

I am wondering if it is advisable to have all these broken teeth removed and be placed by a bridge or implants. Are these available on NHS?

Wednesday, April 1st, 2009
Q.
I am a somewhat healthy 22yo female. I do have a fair few broken teeth at the back of my mouth with i am susceptable to infections from. I am in the process of getting this fixed by my dentist. I am wondering if it is advisable for me to have these all removed and be replaced by a bridge or implants? The back 3 on either side, along the bottom are cracked and only a slight bit of the tooth is left. In this case, seen as there is no other option but for the teeth to be removed would i be able to get implants or a bridge placed on the NHS? Would i be best going to a dental hospital for this procedure? Thank you

I have developed gum disease and the teeth under the denture has decayed can I get implants

Wednesday, April 1st, 2009
Q.
As a child I spent alot of time at the birmingham dental hosptial as I was found to have a rare condition that meant i only had my first teeth and would never develop my adult teeth and was missing several of my baby teeth as well. Since the age of 13 I was given a brace/denture on the top set of my teeth to wear over my natural baby teeth that were very small. I do have my own teeth on the bottom although these are like bably teeth as well, although these do not bother me as much. Since then I was very concious and became increasingly anxious about visiting the dentist. Since then I have developed bad tooth and gum disease to the top teeth under the denture and it is so bad they are decaying and are balck, but due to my fear of the dentist and belief no one can give me a smile to be be able to show off i have not been to go to a dentist in over 10 years. I know its madness but am terrified of what will happen and the fact that i will have to wear dentures and have no teeth at my age of 26 especially when i have a job and boyfriend i cant imagine having to wear a denture. I am hoping to find someone who can help me to get some kind of smile that i have never had even as as a child. Do you believe i could be able to get some implants or treatment or do you beleive i have left it to late. Hope you can help as it has been a real problem for me for all of my life and i finally am trying to do something about it.
