A.

A smaller number of implants can support a larger number of teeth. An example is the “all on four” implants  by Nobel Biocare. It means two implants in each corner supporting around ten teeth in one arch that has no teeth. There are are many variations using the implants to support a bridge. Suitability depends on he quality, health, location  and ammount of bone for the implants to be sited.
You need to get the bridge sorted before any implant treatment because the current infection will cause problems for the implant. To sort the infection you need to find a way to keep it clean.
There is a lot of possibilities and the cost will vary a lot depending on choices avaialable after a clinical examination with an implant dentist.
