Did procedure lead to these new problems?

Monday, August 2nd, 2010
Q.
Hi, Just before Xmas i had a tooth prepared for a Crown. My Dentist didnt place a temporary on as “your gum is a bit sore wont put temporary on to give it time too heal”. What with the Xmas period and not having the money to pay the remaining balance I went back 5 weeks later to have the Crown fitted. When I went back the Dentist said “just going to remove the temporary”. I told her she never put one on and she did seem slightly surprised. She’d obviously forgot she’d not put one on… Sorry this is long winded..Now i have sensitivity to hot and cold and have an awful taste and smell coming from that area. Is this because the crown doesnt fit properly as my teeth shifted from not having a temporary on? That is a guess but obviously I would value yr professional opinion. Please help as iv’e paid £400 for this treatment and now have sensitivity and smelly breath that i didnt have before!!,

Can I live without my molar tooth?

Wednesday, July 28th, 2010
Q.
I have a vertical crack in molar #27 this tooth already has root canal and gold crown on it. Can I live without this molar? Or is this the start down a slippery slope? I had braces as a child, but were not done right, my front teeth don’t meet and bad occlusion. I use molars a lot. Stumbling over the expense for one tooth. $3500 – $4000 in Canada.,

Q.
I have a back molar that needs a crown and happy to have a metal one there but thought it would be gold but will be made of non-precious metal ie nickel alloy. As there are possible health issues with nickel, can you get a gold one on NHS these days and if not what is price range privately.,

Wednesday, July 21st, 2010
Q.
I just lost my four front crowns along with my original teeth in an accident, i am left with the four top nerves exposed now and the NHS dentist gave me a denture for now and then told me i would have to raise £10,000 for implants which is never going to happen as i am not working, i am in pain and can barely eat with or without the dentures in and my speech is not the same either. I feel unfairly treated by the dentist and would like some advice please on what to do next?,
