If I wanted an implant fitted to replace my crown, could I get it done immediately after root removal?

Q. Hallo, I have a crown with a post on a front tooth but the root is in a bad way. (loose and decaying. sometimes i have an absyss on it but it never hurts) I stick it in every day with denture glue) If i had an implant could it be placed immediately after the removal of the root. Thanks,
A. It might be possible if there isn’t severe bone loss caused by the root infection in which case the tooth may need removing and replacing after the bone has fully healed
