I Would Like To Know How Much It Would Cost For 8 Front Tooth Veneers? Since Having My Daughter My Teeth Have Eroded.

Friday, October 17th, 2014
Q.

Hi Mark. I would like to know how much it will cost for veneers and 6-8 front teeth and then to whiten all of the teeth. With a 6 months smile.

I have a gap between my teeth which I would like to close, also the enamel has eroded away on the top of my front teeth since I have had my daughter and the dentist has filled it but it doesn’t look nice. My second tooth on the right was chipped as a teenager and has now been filled with filling and my teeth are yellow and I want them to be white. Thank you for your time.

My Oral Health Has Deteriorated and Caused Gap In My Smile. Would Six Month Smiles Orthodontic Treatment Help?

Thursday, October 2nd, 2014
Q.

Hello,
the reason I e-mailed you today is because I would like to ask you some specific questions regarding the gaps in my teeth.

My teeth were always decent however in recent years (especially the last six years) my oral health deteriorated. The conditions of my teeth were always in my mind but I was too ashamed to visit a dentist (or orthodontic). It has now come to the point where it is affecting my everyday life and I can’t ignore it.

Altogether I have 10 gaps (four upper and six lower), formerly it was seven but the other three developed because I made use of gap teeth elastic bands which have brought no benefits. My largest teeth gap is approximately 0.35 cm large, four of them are 0.2 cm big and the rest are easily fixable.

I had a look through the website and came across ‘6-Month Smiles: orthodontic treatment in six months’ and was wondering if you would recommend me this option. In addition I also wanted to ask you if you were able to give me an estimation of long this procedure may take.

Thank you.

Which Way Will My Teeth Move with Six Month Smiles?

Friday, September 19th, 2014
Q.

Dear Dr Hughes. I am currently in week 2 of Six Month Smiles treatment.

I am looking at my teeth, trying to imagine which ones will move, and in what direction. Will any teeth come down, will they move forward, backwards or side to side?

Is there anything I can determine, just by looking at the wires? Will my dentist have a mould of what my teeth are expected to look like at the end?

I am looking at the anchor points on my back teeth and trying to imagine the brace wire running straight. Would that give me an indication of what I can expect to move and in which direction? Thanks a lot, I’d be happy to receive your advice.

I Have A Missing Canine Tooth. Would A Six Month Smile Solution Be Applicable To My Dental Condition?

Monday, August 18th, 2014
Q.

Hi Dr Hughes, I would like a smile makeover as I don’t like my front teeth. They stick out and I have a missing lower canine and incisor tooth. I am always self conscious about them and embarrassed. I tend to cover my mouth when I speak. I would like to get braces and wanted information on the type of braces available to me as an adult especially the six month smiles? I would like to know if it is possible to get this treatment with missing teeth.
Thank you.

10 Years Ago I Had A Full Brace When I Was Younger But As Soon As I Had Them Removed They Started Moving. What Are My Options?

Friday, July 18th, 2014
Q.

Hi Mark,

I am looking to get my teeth fixed, I had a full brace when I was younger but as soon as I had them removed they started moving, my dentist said they would move back. Now it’s 10 years later and I still have one front tooth that sticks out and it makes me really unhappy.

My problem has always been that I haven’t had enough space for my teeth, which is what has happened.

What are my options? I would like to have straight teeth again and hopefully avoiding a full metal brace. Thank you for your time and I look forward to your reply.

I Have Teeth Which Are Overlapping And I’m Wondering Which Discreet Braces Would Be Suitable?

Monday, July 14th, 2014
Q.

Hi Andrew. Just wondering which treatment would be best. My top two front teeth overlap and the teeth next to them the teeth are larger than my others with one straighter and the other a bit slanted. This also makes the third tooth and my fangs on each side stand out more and makes them look a lot larger and the second tooth on both sides go back a bit. These are the only problems with my teeth which I want straightened. The rest of my mouth is fine, it’s just my teeth are always on show. So I would like to know the quickest and best procedure and also maybe the cheapest. Which adult brace procedure do you recommend by this information? Thank you.

Are There Any Cosmetic Training Hospitals Which Offer Less Expensive Treatment?

Wednesday, June 18th, 2014
Q.

Hello, I have crooked teeth which I have always hated, I missed out on the chance of having braces as a child because at 12 I got told not to get them as I would need a operation on my jaw at 16 and my teeth would be straightened at the same time. When I turned 16 turned out I didn’t need the operation, but as a I know-all teenager I didn’t want train track braces for the next 4 years. Now I am 32 and I’ve had enough. I’ve been looking into the invisible braces and I’ve seen a place locally that do 6 month smiles treatment. I’m on a low income and I don’t know how I can afford this. Are there any cosmetic training hospitals that offer similar and less expensive? Thanks.

What Would Be The Best Approach To Make Between Inman Aligner And Six Month Smiles?

Thursday, June 5th, 2014
Q.

Hi Dr Hughes,
I am a 27 year old student. My front lower teeth are not straight and also gapped. I would like to enquire on the best approach between the 6 month smile and the Inman aligner to take.
Also, I will not be in the country for about 10 weeks. If I do get the braces can they be fit for that long without visiting the orthodontist? Also, which facilities offer good and affordable service? I would really appreciate your response.
Please advise me. Thank you.

I Damaged My Teeth As A Child. I Am Set To Wear A Bonded Retainer But I Worry About Keeping It Clean. What Is Your Opinion On This?

Friday, May 30th, 2014
Q.

Hello Dr Moore. I have a six months smile brace on at the moment that I have been told will hopefully be removed in a months time. I am also having whitening and a couple of crowns, one a replacement on my front tooth the other to cover a dead tooth. I damaged my teeth as a child falling down stairs. I have been told that I will be given a permanent fixed wire retainer on the back of my teeth for life, but I am worried that not only will this affect my bite when I eat and I also worry about keeping it clean, what are your opinions on this? Thank you for your time.

Can Fixed Braces Be Attached To Porcelain Veneers? Replacing The Veneers Would Cost Too Much.

Friday, May 23rd, 2014
Q.

Hi Mark. I have four porcelain veneers on my upper front teeth. Due to gum disease my upper right lateral incisor is moving my central incisor forward. I am hoping orthodontics treatment will help. I am interested in the six month smile fixed brace over Invisalign as it’s less complicated to manage daily. My only concern is whether fixed braces can be attached to porcelain veneers because the cost of replacing veneers is £800 each. This is more than the cost of the fixed brace treatment! Please could you help with this query; can fixed braces be attached to porcelain veneers without damaging them? I thank you in advance.
