I fell and knocked my teeth out ive had infection and bone loss

Sunday, July 6th, 2008
Q.
When I was young I fell and knocked my 2 front teeth as a result I had an operation and the root of one of the teeth was removed. A few years later I has the tooth crowned and not long after I got an infection in the roof of my mouth. An x-ray showed that this infection was going right from the crown up into the palet of my mouth, the specialist told me I need ot have an operation to remove the infection but I have had bone removed during my first operation which I was not aware of and there is a 50/50 chance I could lose the tooth during or not longer after the operation. What would be my best option if I do lose the tooth? Would a dental implant be suitable? And whatever the necessary treatment can you give me an idea of the price I would be looking at?

how do I find a dentist abroad for dental implants and gum disease treatment

Sunday, July 6th, 2008
Q.
I am 59 years old and looking quite good apart from my teeth, which are now quite loose and have gaps between them due to gum disease. My gums are a lot better since I stopped smoking 4 years ago, but the damage has been done. My dentist says I will need dentures but I wondered if I would be a candidate for implants. However as the price in the UK is so high I was thinking about going abroad. How would I set this process in motion?

Saturday, July 5th, 2008
Q.
Dear Dr Komal Suri. I am a 48 year old woman and have two teeth missing on the upper top 5 and 6. i currently wear a denture plate which i detest. When I go out socialising i feel I have no confidence in talking to people male and female. I tried bridge work a couple of year ago but got a phobia with it and had to have it taken out. Since then I have worn a denture. Please help me.

I have lost all my bottom teeth and want cosmetic dentures

Saturday, July 5th, 2008
Q.
Over the last 12 months, I have lost all but 3 of my bottom teeth. I have dentures which are awful looking and ill fitting. I asked my dentist about cosmetic dentures, but am not sure he understood exactly the type I want, as he told me they would cost between £300 – £500, yet looking at internet sites they seem a lot more expensive. The type I am thinking of are the sort seen on tv shows such as 10 yrs younger. What sort of cost would I be looking at please.

I have lost a canine baby tooth which is hurting my confidence

Wednesday, July 2nd, 2008
Q.
I have recently lost a baby canine tooth ( the adult tooth remains unerrupted in my gum) and am finding wearing the temporary denture very uncomfortable. I have been told that a bridge is not possible as the tooth by the gap is fragile so need to explore other options. Would I be able to have an implant- what are the implications of the adult tooth still being there and approximately what cost ? This is having a real affect on my confidence so need to resolve it – any other suggestions would be gratefully received!

I have a unsightly smile missing teeth broken teeth and want to smile again

Saturday, June 28th, 2008
Q.
I have the most unsightly smile ever, i am 35 years old and have had this problem for a few years. I could not tell you when i was last able to smile as I really don\’t remember. i have 9 missing teeth and 4 broken teeth, all the broken teeth are at the front of my mouth (my smile teeth) and it is so embarrassing. The worst thing is i have always brushed my teeth, i don\’t eat sweets, i don\’t drink fizzy drinks, yet my teeth look like this. I am far to afraid of dentists to even go there, this i have tried on many occasions but every time i get to the dentists chair i make my excuses and leave. I would love to be able to smile again, but i know that i would not be able to afford it in this lifetime, how could i ever be able to smile again??
