how do I find a dentist abroad for dental implants and gum disease treatment

Q. I am 59 years old and looking quite good apart from my teeth, which are now quite loose and have gaps between them due to gum disease. My gums are a lot better since I stopped smoking 4 years ago, but the damage has been done. My dentist says I will need dentures but I wondered if I would be a candidate for implants. However as the price in the UK is so high I was thinking about going abroad. How would I set this process in motion?

A. I am afraid I really would not know how to go about choosing your dentist abroad.

The questions you need to ask are – what happens if you are not happy with the treatment? What happens if there is a problem when you get back to the UK?- as you may find it difficult to get a UK dentist involved at that stage.
You would also need to see a portfolio of their work.

I hope this is of some help

Kind regards
