i would be grateful if you could offer me some advise regarding my teeth and gums as my dentist doesnt seem to be interested in helping…
i have receding gums on my top and bottom teeth and they seem to be getting worse. i have took the advise and now brush with an electric tooth brush or a soft brush but the receding is getting worse. im 29yrs old and along with this problem my teeth seem to be wearing down, they have become see through in places and have generally become weaker and thinner. my dentist filled the receding areas on my bottom teeth with some filling but it now stands out from the colour of my teeth and people are starting to notice. in the past i had my teeth whitened but the whitener seeped into my receding teeth and has left white areas in the teeth itself which is very noticable.. whilst the teeth are wearing down gaps are becoming bigger. all these problems are getting me down and they are getting worse.
would i be able to have caps or veneers etc on top of my own teeth to cover the problems and can they be made to look perfect? can you have caps/veneers when you have receding gums??? i want a natural smile and dont want to worry about my teeth becoming worse…

I want veneers or crowns but I have receding gums, what can I do?
Tuesday, March 8th, 2011I have gum disease, is there any treatment for this?
Thursday, March 3rd, 2011I have gum disease with my teeth becoming loose and I have lost several of them. I am also susceptible to abcesses. My dentist reccomends nothing but visiting the hygienist and using Corsydyl paste and mouthwash, which I do, but the problem is not improving. Is there any cosmetic or surgical treatment I can have to improve this problem?
What should I do about gum recession?
Wednesday, March 2nd, 2011 Hi,
I have some gum recession behind my lower front two teeth, probably from 10 years of smoking. I have since given up and endeavour to keep my teeth in good health. Both teeth have some slight movement in them, one a very small amount and the other less than a millimetre, but concerning nonetheless. Can one get gum grafting in the UK and would this help?
Many thanks,
I sucked my thumb as a child and have had problems with my smile all my life, i also have gum disease, what should I do?
Tuesday, January 25th, 2011 I sucked my thumb as a child (I am now nearly 60) and subsequently my teeth stick out. I was called goofy at school. I have had 3 teeth removed from my upper jaw either side of my front teeth (2 on one side and one on the other) I also have gum disease. My top 2 front teeeth have been crowned and one of the crowns is moving so it all looks a bit of a mess!
I have been very self conscious for years and I would love to have a better smile but apart from being nervous of the dentist I am also very embarrased and put my hand over my mouth when I laugh!
Cn you help me, please?

Saturday, December 4th, 2010 Help! I have had Dental implants on my whole upper which I’ve rejected! I am now 40,000.00 later in with a Denture which I cant keep in my mouth due to lack of gum! I mean none! I have a wonderful Prosdiodontist that is doing all he can to keep this denture in my mouth! nothing holds it in. I still have 3 implants that my periodontist said he wants covered up! My question is I need serious gum grafting so the plate will hold to something. The gum loss was due to major infections after the implant surgery! You would have to see my mouth to believe it! Ive been to a plasitc surgeon that said that was not his bread and butter! Breast reconstruction, augmentations etc…..God what did these doctors become Doctors for! What ever happened to Dr. Wellby????? Please guide me. I will not get sinus lift as my Perio. wants me to, I’m done with the pain and suffering all I want is to be able to eat and keep this Denture that I never wanted to stay in my mouth! I live in Ct. the New haven area.. I look forward to you getting back to me.
Thank you.
