I am unable to afford lumineers and veneers and is there a way i could still get them

Saturday, May 30th, 2009
Q.
Hi, Im a junior in college and i am looking forward to a great year. Im in business school and i am looking forward to having a great career in marketing. Unfortunately my smile is not the best. After years of neglect from low self esteem and no sense of self worth i didnt treat my smile well at all. Now that i am taking better care of my teeth i often feel that it will always look the same. I am unable to afford lunineers and veneers. Is there a way i could still get them.

can composite bonding be removed easily and will the underlying tooth look normal?

Saturday, May 30th, 2009
Q.
I had a small 1mm gap in my upper two front teeth filled with composite bonding a year ago. The results are great, and it looks really natural. However, I have recently decided to investigate braces as I have come to the conclusion that i would like to straighten my teeth. With this in mind, i would like my dentist to remove the composite bonding, so that a brace can be used to close the gap permanently. First, can composite bonding be removed easily? My dentist did the filling so well, it seems impossible to tell which is tooth and which is bonding? So, is it possible to remove it? And will the underlying tooth look normal? Also, when the filling was done, the bonding was polished and i can see a less shiny surface on some of the surface of my teeth. I will ask the dentist to polish this after the gap is revealed again, but If some bonding remains, does this effect how well fixed brace brackets would stay on? Also, when the brackets are removed at the end of treatment, would the bonding have stained, is this permanent, or would polising after the brackets are removed get rid of it? Thank you for your time.

im 15 and i have 3mm diameter gap between my front teeth and is the treatment free on nhs

Q.
Dr Rob Tennet I had a large gap inbetween my top two front teeth which I had braces fitted on the NHS. This tretment continued for about 10 months then I wore a “night retainer” for a while yet I cannot remember the length but I went through 2 diffrent ones as they had “worn out”. Yet since being told I no longer needed to wear it my front gap has returned although it has remained smaller than before due to a fretescamy operation(removal of large muscle above front incisors). I now the gap is still fairly large with about 3mm diameter. Will I be able to return to the orthodontist without needing to pay for the teeth to be corrected as my family will struggle to afford them? Any advice or information will be gladly appreciated. Many thanks  (Curretly 15 going on 16 years old)

I would like to know the pros and cons of having vaneers inman aligner and invisible braces

Wednesday, May 27th, 2009
Q.
Dear Dr Moore, I am 33 years old and am thinking about having cosmetic dental treatment. When i was a teenager, I wore every conceivable brace possible. However, the braces didn’t really do me any good and I still have some overcrowding on my front teeth (top and bottom). I am confused about what type of treatment to go for and am fearful that braces may not work. I have been looking into cosmetic dentistry and would like to know the pros and cons of having vaneers and/or Inman aligner and invisible braces. If I go for the Inman aligner – are the results generally quite good? Also, can you recommend a well respected dentist in Bristol? I would be really greatful to know your honest opinion. Regards

are there any less expensive alternatives to fix my overbite for my two front teeth

Wednesday, May 27th, 2009
Q.
I have recently been given a quote to fix the overbite for my two front teeth, £2500 using clearstep, taking around 12-16 Months and I was informed that I would have to have a peramant fixed retainer fixed to the back of my teeth. Also was told to get a ‘perfect’ smile and bite I should get my bottom teeth done as well for £2000 more. Does this sound correct or am I being ripped off? It sounds really expensive, are there any similar alternatives? Thanks
