Orthodontist told me i need a jaw surgery and i need to know what it does? how much it cost

Thursday, July 23rd, 2009
Q.
I asked Dr.Julian the same question but i was wondering if maybe you would be able to answer it as well, maybe better since it sounds like you have had more experience in with jaws. okay well im 15 and i had braces for about 4 years. before i had them i had a bad gap and my teeth were completly crooked. After i got my braces off my teethe became straight and i did not have a gap anymore but the problem is i have a bad underbite and i have a jaw that jets out (long face shaped). My orthodontist told me that only way to fix it is to get jaw surgrey. I was wondering basically all about it, what it does? if i really should get it? how much it cost? -if you need more information or any questions for me please ask.

One of my tooth has edged its way out quite severely what are my options and whats the cost

Wednesday, July 22nd, 2009
Q.
Hi there, I’ve always had pretty straight teeth, but over the years (I am now 27) one tooth (the one next to my main front one) has edged its way out quite severly. I did speak to a dentist about it, but he said that I couldn’t have a brace because all my other teeth have now shifted and there is not enough space for my wonky tooth to be pushed back into. I am really conscious about this one tooth that seems to be making a bid for freedom and I desperately want to look into what options I have to make it go back into place before it is pushed out of its space altogether. Is there anything that can be done? If so, if it an expensive and time consuming process? Many thanks in advance

My son has large gap between his front teeth Will he be funded by NHS for his braces

Wednesday, July 22nd, 2009
Q.
Hi my son is soon to go to see a specialist regards having a brace. I am aware though that the NHS are fairly strict on funding braces now and I have a horrible feeling he wont get funding. He has large gaps between his front four teeth and is very self conscious about it. Can you tell me your opinion on how the NHS will view this, and anything I can do to help the situation please? many thanks

I have my retainer but there are gaps when I smile can I get implants to fill in these gaps

Wednesday, July 22nd, 2009
Q.
Hi, I wanted to look into dental implants for two of my back top teeth. I had a brace and when I got it fitted they told me that my jaw was to small for the amount of teeth i had and they took two teeth from either top sides out. After this I still wear my retainer but there are gaps when I smile on both of the sides where they took the teeth! Also the two teeth behind are the only teeth I have fillings in and I don’t like to smile because they are now visible, so I’m looking into getting them replaced with Implants? I am a student so I was wondering how I would know a good dental place to go without it costing me a fortune??? Thanks,Am I too young as I have only just turned 20?

Im 46 year old male whose two front teeth protrude what can be done to address the problem

Wednesday, July 22nd, 2009
Q.
I am a 46 year old male whose two front teeth pretrude though would not be considered butt teeth. There is a discenible gap between the teeth either side of them though more so on the right side (as you look). My bite is very much not a level one with the bottom teeth at the point of the curve and therefore across the front. I have been conscious of this for many years and only now would like to try and see if the problem can be addressed. Many thanks

Is it necessary to remove a little tooth before getting braces

Wednesday, July 22nd, 2009
Q.
Is it necessary to remove a little tooth before getting braces, when it was told she needed braces to fill in the gaps in between teeth, also is it necessary to have braces on the lower jaw when the teeth are straight & has no gaps.
