One side of my mouth has a hole and missing teeth could you advice

Wednesday, September 30th, 2009
Q.
I have had dental problems from a young child, this has caused me to develop a fear of the dentist, most of my teeth which I still have are crowns, and fillings a few of my front teeth are fake too. I currently only eat on one side of my mouth as the other side has a hole and a tooth missing. the side which I am eating on also has a hole, and the teeth are in a bad condition food always gets stuck in it People are always wondering why it takes me so long to eat my food but Im too embarrassed to say its my teeth. I tried having a denture fitted to replace the lost one but it was uncomfortable, kept moving and food kept going under it. Im so scared to go to the dentist me not being able to eat is having implications on my diet. Im so scared I dont know what to do I dont want to have a set of full dentures by the time im 40 which is the direction im heading im 29. The amount of treatment I would need would cost me so much money which I do not have at the moment. What do you advise please help kind regards

My teeth seem to soft No matter what I do how can i get it fixed

Saturday, September 26th, 2009
Q.
I dont know where to start. im 33 and my teeth are in very bad repair. A lot if the work carried out over the years has failed. My teeth seem to soft, No matter what I do, Brush 3 times a day, mauth wash, floss, nothing seems to help. I have developed a major fear of the dentist now, to the extent that when in the chair my chest tightens and have been known to cry. My 2 lovely boys 5 and 2 have to be taken to the dentist by my wife as I just cant face it. I know I have to go but I dont know how I can, Im 33 and my teeth of a 80 year, I dont smile, my gums are always sore. With the current was the world is, Im not sure I can afford anything. Just if I could weake up one morning and my teeth have been replaced I would be the happiest person alive. Its got to that point in my life that I dont want to laugh or even talk with people because of my teeth and the feeling of detures, well I guess thats all I have left to look forward to. Sorry going on to much but just had enough. thanks

What are the options to fill teeth gap and how much do they cost?

Wednesday, September 23rd, 2009
Q.
Hi Justin I have just had emergency nhs dental treatment after breaking my insisor tooth which had to be extracted. The site was immediately alongside a previous extraction of an insisor near to the front right side of my mouth. I now have a sizeable gap which is seriously affecting my confidence as I now feel unable to smile properly and am having considerable trouble speaking properly as my tongue is protruding through the gap when i speak causing to lisp. I am on the nhs waiting list but don’t feel that i can wait forever to get this problem sorted. Please can you tell what my options are and approximate costs of getting the gap closed at a private dentist. I live in Pembrokeshire but would be prepared to travel if necessary. Thank you very much

Does NHS provide invisible braces and quicker teeth straightening methods?

Wednesday, September 23rd, 2009
Q.
Hi, I’m 16 and i realy want my teeth to be straight, i would just like to know, if i can get anything like invisable braces or the ones that only take a month, or the inman aligner, not the normal train track braces. But i can’t pay for it, it would have to be under NHS, is there anything like that that i could have that wont cost me? Please let me know if there is anything, thankyou.

Can i fix braces for free on NHS?

Sunday, September 20th, 2009
Q.
I had fixed braces when i was about 11 for seven months, but then eventually discontinued to use the retainer i was given as i got older. I am now 18, and my teeth have moved around so much from when the brace was first taken off, meaning that the retainer obviously no longer fits my mouth. Would you recommend getting fixed braces put back on? If so, would i still be able to get them free on the Nhs, baring in mind that i am still in full time education? Any other recommendations would also be much appreciated.
