Does NHS provide invisible braces and quicker teeth straightening methods?

Q. Hi, I’m 16 and i realy want my teeth to be straight, i would just like to know, if i can get anything like invisable braces or the ones that only take a month, or the inman aligner, not the normal train track braces. But i can’t pay for it, it would have to be under NHS, is there anything like that that i could have that wont cost me? Please let me know if there is anything, thankyou.

A. Hi,

The NHS are limited on what they provide so unforunately Invisilible braces and quicker methods of teeth straightening are not available. You would need to book in with a private orthodontist if you wanted to have these methods of orthodontics and there would be costs involved.

Kind regards

I have really bad crooked tooth. it has greatly affected my confidence, especially at work. I want to have the invisible braces done. Can you please suggest a good company and preferable the ones that do finance.

Hi, I am 19 years old and had braces two years ago, unfortunately due to not wearing my retainers reguarly my teeth have moved forward and are overcrowded. My front tooth on top row and front one on the bottom row of teeth ispushed out more than the rest, so my teeth are not in a straight line. I also have an overbite which my previous othordontist didn’t fix, as i was 18 near the end of my nhs treatment. My problem is not severe, so I am hoping it can be easily fixed, and as fast as possivle. I would like to opt fora clear brace, I was looking at Inman Aligners but dont know how much theycost? Could you tell me the cost of them please for bottom and top teeth, and also the cost of any other Clear braces you offer. Thankyou.

After Ihad my braces off at the age of 16, I still had an under bite and have been waiting until my jaw to stop growing which it has done now. Although I am18 and wanted the procedure at 17, does this mean that I do not get it onthe NHS at the moment? Is it possible if someone could contact me as I wastold to enquire again in a years time last year to see my options Thanks
