Is it possible to put on a fixed retainer behind the teeth to hold them where they are

Friday, April 24th, 2009
Q.
I have been wearing a fixed brace for 6 months now and am really happy with how much my teeth have moved, but my orthodontist has still given no indication of how long I am going to be wearing it. I really want it taken off but don;t want my teeth to move back as soon as it is removed. Is it possible to put on a fixed retainer behind the teeth at any point to hold them where they are, as i want to request this? Or would they have to be at a certain stage before the fixed retainer would work? I am completely happy with my teeth as they are now but am not sure if my orthodontist wants them to have moved before removing the brace. I’d even be happy with a removable retainer if necessary.

Tuesday, April 21st, 2009
Q.
Hello Dr, My top 4 teeth was little protruding, I had put braces for 6 months, actually all the teeths were crowded so doctor had made some gap in between so that my teeth will go in. It moved in but now it has come to the same position and it is shaking and paining. Please suggest what i have to do? If it comes back to the same position then it’s okay but if it protrudes more then it will be a problem. Please suggest what are the do’s and dont’s. Regards

i have periodontosis after i treat the illness will i be suitable for invisalign treatment

Monday, April 20th, 2009
Q.
Hello! When I went to the dentist last time (April 2009) I had been told that I have periodontosis. Due to the disease some of my teeth driftied a lot. I was wondering that after I treat the illness I might be suitable for a Invisalign treatment. I have just 28 years old; I don’t smoke but both my parents have the illness…so lucky me!! I allways had bad teeth…I’ve lost my baby teeth prematurely and suck my fingers as a child. Is there a hope for my? The whole problem started to affect my confidence, my life… Thank you and look forward to receive your answer. Best wishes

Monday, April 20th, 2009
Q.
I want to correct my teeth but do not want to go for the metal braces. I have heard about invisible braces and was wondering whether they could be an option as they are not noticeable and seem to be pain free. I have goofy teeth so i have an overbite( top teeth) and i have crowded teeth on the bottom. also how much would they cost as i am 18. thanks in advance

Sunday, April 19th, 2009
Q.
Hi, I am 24 and I have hated my teeth since I rejected the opportunity for permanent braces are having retainers. I have noticed that my two front teeth are becoming more outwardly protruded and crooked. I want to have a invisalign brace fitted but am unsure whether this will treat my case. How do I go about choosing what dentist to go to and what is the pricing structure for this procedure as well? Thanks
