My lateral incisors are bigger than central ones, should I have braces again or implants?

Monday, January 31st, 2011
Q.

I am 25 and had train tracks for 6 years and a head brace for a year which I wore for 16 hours a day. My problem is that my lateral incisors are bigger than my central incisors and due to there not being any space grew very far behind giving the aspect of having double central incisors. When I turned 18 my orthodontist told me she had done an experiment that had not worked and sent me packing you would never be able to tell that I have ever had any orthodontic treatment previously. The actual state of my teeth are not in a bad condition they are simply not aligned would I be better off having braces again or pulling out the incisors and having false teeth fitted?

I have a milk tooth growing on top of adult tooth, what should I do?

Monday, January 31st, 2011
Q.

An adult tooth is growing on top of my baby tooth. Most doctors want me to remove the baby tooth and wear a band to bring down the adult one. Is there a way I could just remove both teeth and get an implant? Or better yet remove the adult tooth and get veneers?

I am having a dilemma, whether to get implants or find a cheaper less drastic solution?

Monday, January 31st, 2011
Q.

I am about to embark on some
expensive orthodentistry but havnt
decided what or who yet.

My problem is this.

I have a full row of top teeth – crowned
bridged – and the odd one of my own.
They have served me well but now
i a 61 the gums have receded &
and the stumps inside the crowns
r rotted giving an ugly black margin
between gum and tooth on about
6 of the teeth.

Bottom row – many removed teeth
hidden by a prosthesis denture
which shows silver”’ claw’ when i
smile widely. Bottom solution i
believe is dental implants. BUT
question like answering now is:
Is there anything less drastic n
expensive than implants to hide
decay in the gap on top row?

I am missing two of my front teeth but I can’t afford implants, are there any teaching hospitals that I mat be able to get it done cheaply at?

Monday, January 31st, 2011
Q.

Hello Justin, I am 23 and have recentley started going to a NHS dentist. The dentist i had before (for around 7 months) worked on my teeth with a very poor standard. Now my teeth are crumbling and falling out. I now have 2 missing teeth at the front and i am very embarrssed to smile. I would like to have all my fronmt teeth (top & bottom) replaced with implants but it is way to expensive. Is there such thing as a Dental teaching hospital that i may be able to get this done cheeper? Please Help!! :0(
