I have a milk tooth growing on top of adult tooth, what should I do?

Q.
An adult tooth is growing on top of my baby tooth. Most doctors want me to remove the baby tooth and wear a band to bring down the adult one. Is there a way I could just remove both teeth and get an implant? Or better yet remove the adult tooth and get veneers?
A.
Dear Enquirer,
Dentists will always give you the best options to help you with the health and looks of your teeth. Ultimately, as a patient, it is your choice on the treatment option you finally decide. Please ask your dentist for further clarification of the options you would prefer and ask the dentist the pros and cons of the treatment he/she is recommending.
In theory, you could have teeth removed and an implant placed. Veneers will not be suitable to fill the gap as they are thin layers of porcelain we place over existing teeth.
You can replace a missing tooth in one of 3 ways.
1. Partial denture (removable)
2. Bridge ( fixed)
3. Implant (fixed)
I hope this helps,
Sunita

Hi Zelda, go to an orthodontist and see what they suggest, you may nee a brace to sort them out, depending on your age.
