My daughter’s baby tooth is black after she had an accident. What can be done for the damaged tooth?

Wednesday, November 10th, 2010
Q.
Hello, my 19 month old little girl recently fell and bumped her front teeth. Since then the one front tooth has turned quite black so i presume that it has died. I understand that this is only her first tooth but as her second set of teeth are not due for some years i really do not want all of her photos as a baby / toddler showing her black tooth. What can we do to the damaged tooth? Also will her second tooth grow through o.k.? Many thanks ,

I am concerned about how natural implants look. Can you get a good gum line with implants?

Thursday, November 4th, 2010
Q.
I have two very large front teeth, and one side baby tooth. I have never been happy with my smile, and its effected every part of my life. Implants seem a good option, but I am concerned how natural they look, and my major concern is having a good gum line with the implants. Can you get a good gum line with implants?,

yesterday i noticed that my gums were swollen. So when i got home from work i lightly brushed my teeth and garggled. The next day i noticed that the bulge was even bigger. I then garggled with salt and water. Today i see a tiny peek of what looks like a tooth apperaring. i am 26 years old and i dont know what to do. I have seen blogs on the surgery and i am scared straight. is there even hope for me due to my age. My other canine is still a baby but the adult tooth is not appearing yet. I have insurance but its not the best. i am scared that i will not be able to fix this problem what should i do.,

My daughter has 4-6 milk teeth and is worried they will soon fall out and leave her with gaps. What would be the best course of action?

Tuesday, October 26th, 2010
Q.
My daughter has 4-6 milk teeth in her top jaw and near the front, she had been attending an orthodentist since she was 7yrs old t they saw her at 6monthly intervalsbut every time, they decided to leave things until the teeth fell out naturally. Then when she was 16 and just about to start college they said they wanted to take all the milk teeth out and see what happened of course my daughter was upset and couldn’t face college with the prospect of gaps in her teeth so she refused the treatment and we heard no more from the orthodentist. Daughter is now 19 and seems to be anxious about these teeth and the what will happen when they do come out, she also thinks they look unsightly and this is affecting her confidence. I am trying to persuade her to face up to the problem and see another orthodentist to see what can be done now but as I am a lone parent she is very worried about the costs and that she may have gaps whilst the treatment is being done.I also had this problem and had orthodentic treatment at my local hospital when I was in my 20’s I ended up with a crown and a bridge which are both ok,but think I would want something better for my daughter. What do you think would be the best course of action?how do we get referred to a hospital orthodentist?,

How much would implants be to replace my baby teeth on my lower jaw?

Friday, October 22nd, 2010
Q.
Hi There… I am 23 and have a baby tooth on either side of my lower set of teeth with no adult teeth underneath. one had decayed with the root left in the gum and the other is still intact but the gum is receeding. i have seen a few dentists who have suggested implants. i have been getting conflicting information regarding implants so I just had a few questions… how long are implants expected to last? approximately how much can i expect to pay? how do i look after them once they are in place? Thank you for your help.,
