Hi Dr Moore. Most of my back teeth have rotted away down to the gum line, I’m struggling to eat properly and have lost all my self confidence. I try not to speak to people so they don’t see what’s going on inside my mouth but I can’t afford to go to a dentist. I would need major work to fix them but am in a low paying job and can only just afford to pay my bills without paying thousands of pounds to a dentist. If I leave them how long will it be till I’m in serious trouble?

I would like to know if after undergoing surgery for an Aiortic valve replacement in 2007, Would it be possible to have tooth implants fitted? ( it would perhaps be six implants altogether in all )
I am currently taking warfarin to keep my blood thin due to a mechanical valve being fitted.
Please let me know if these implants would be possible, and if not what would you say is the best solution to my problems?

Hi Kailesh. My teeth have been sensitive to cold for over a year now so I had it filled but the filling keeps coming out so now it gets more sensitive to cold in my teeth. I don’t like needles, so could you tell me if there is any other way to have it taken out? I’m one those people who don’t do pain or needles, so if there is any other way of taking it out then I would love to hear about it. I don’t like needles because the last time I had a needle in my gums didn’t go down till 2 weeks later. I couldn’t eat or drink or brush my teeth in the morning or night because I was in so much pain and that was about 7 years ago now. People have been telling me it only takes 2 minutes – not even that – but I hope to have it out soon and I’m hoping that it doesn’t happen the way it did 7 years ago. I hope you can help me.
Hi. I was wondering what approach to take to having a beautiful smile. I have stained teeth and have composite resin fillings on most of my teeth. I had braces and didn’t take good enough care. I was told by one dentist I wouldn’t be a good candidate for porcelain veneers so should I go with bondings? I went to a cosmetic dentist and purchased a teeth whitening product for almost $200. But then I have spots that don’t change color because they are composite resin fillings and they are on the fronts of my teeth.What treatment would you recommend?

My problem is that my teeth look nice, it’s not a bad smile, but they are very weak, and in the back, I don’t have half of my teeth, because they are broken. So I want to make new ones – fake, so I won’t have to care about it later…How much would it cost? To make all new, white, nice teeth?
Hi Andrew. I’m 47 and have always had natural cream toned teeth. But, I’m now feeling quite embarrassed whenever I smile as they are now rather yellow. My dentist and my son’s orthodontist technician think that I may have antibiotic staining. (I did have various antibiotics in my teens for acne treatment) and that bleaching by the orthodontist may not have any effect or leave me with lines of discolouration.

Hello Dr Hughes, about 1 year ago half of my tooth snapped whilst playing rugby so half of my tooth is made out of filling. Will my braces snap the filling off? I am worried, I have had braces for 1 year already but I fear it will snap off. I hate tooth ache, half the tooth is still there and the brace is on both so not all the pressure is on the filling but I’d just like to know if there’s a chance the filling could snap off during my braces treatment. Hello Dr Moore, I have really bad teeth. They are very yellow and my gums are receding terribly, I also suffer with tooth ache all the time and my face swells too. I am very depressed due to my appearance and need something done quickly. I also have 4 teeth missing near the front which looks absolutely terrible. I have not got a lot of money but some family members are willing to help me out if I find someone who can do help with the mess my mouth is in, can you tell me which procedure do I need for a smile to be proud of please.
